Where has the moon info gone????

I just went to click on the little moon icon and no sign of it. Is it gone for good? Moved? Just my computer?

Mansplaining? Well, of course. I'm male, a lot older than most of you, and when I see damsels in distress at losing the moon, so to speak, I naturally want to help.

I naturally presumed that Google didn't work properly in the UK, what with your electricity being 240 volts, and electricity being so expensive in the UK.

It bothered me and I reported it. Repeatedly. I Know damned well I wasn't the only one. Hrumph.

But, yeah, better it's done and gone than being endlessly stuck on half moon. I'm sure there are more pressing matters for tech to deal with.

Surely it was just the icon that was always stuck on half moon? I assumed it was just there to say 'click here for further information'. It was occasionally a day out with where it was meant to be but I miss it.

The electricity here works perfectly well John, although I am working on battery as I type this right now. Have just changed my meter so I will be using the mains every night (00:00 to 07:00) when it is half price.

Anyway, time for bed.

Yeah, it was just the thumbnail / icon that was broken. Theoretically it should have been a piece of piss to fix but I guess the code got taffled up in some way that made it too difficult / annoying to sort

Back in the day the icon / thumbnail showed phase of the moon in real time and you could click through for more info. Was very handy. It'd been stuck on 1/2 moon constantly for bloody ages though, probably a year, if not much longer.
