The thread lists aren't saying who the OP is before you click into post.

This is on desktop. It used to have the name of the person who started the thread on this page didn't it? I'm doubting myself now. But the fact that I was looking for it when I realised it wasn't there suggests it used to be there!

Mine is doing same as Ehric's - the 'started by' column is missing off active convos. Desktop site, windows. Just in the past half an hour or so.

Oh yes.... Hadn't spotted that.

Poor mn. This is what happens when you change stuff in the school holidays, lots of people with more time to be picky than usual!

I have the same, no 'started by' column, which has at the very least been entertaining thinking that rather obscure threads were being started by well known members!

I want to report this bug too.
The 'Show "Started by" column in thread list' option in 'customise' will not save any option.
It just resets to 'please choose' - even if you have selected 'MN New' styles.

I can't find a thread anywhere that says MNHQ are trying to fix these 'faults', has anyone else seen any?

I want the Thread started by column back, please. It's doing my head in opening threads which I wouldn't have opened if I had known who started them!!

Not to mention it only highlighting some of the threads I've posted on, not all of them.

.... and then there's the posting issue (having to x the message and refresh the page every time I post).

It's all bloody annoying and it's being made more so by not knowing if MN are actually trying to 'fix' it, or if it's just a 'tough shit, this is how it is now'?! OR something I need to do to my laptop to 'fix' it.

Bump and report. I never realised how much I used that column. But it is really helpful. MN, are you doing anything?

I'm just logging in to ask the same question. I've been back in to customise and it won't let me save the option for showing thread started by.

I will report this post as it seems not to have been noticed.

We're checking things out with our Tech folk now, but it would be useful if we could tell them which devices you're using to view the desktop site.

And can you also confirm whether these problems have coincided with the launch of the new mobile site?

It's happening to me, too, Dawn - and won't let me turn it back on on the customise page. Firefox eleven billionty (latest one) on windows 7.

And yes, it does appear to coincide.
