No, I've figured it out. On a thread, it's fine, but when the open page is active convos, all 3 buttons do it. Try.

Bum - it's doing it again now! It's a real pain. Only just got rid of that annoying social media side bar thingy.....

Look - it's only when you're on Active already. Is it the same for you?

I've got what looks like half a MN cookbook ad down both sides of the active convos page at the moment plus the normal right hand side blurb. I was thrilled the pin it/Fb etc bar went away but now I've got this. Active Convos is actually now less than 50% of my screen width, the rest is banners etc. My laptop screen isn't that big so over 50% ads is far too much.

I'm in danger of giving up on MN and doing something useful instead!

It's me too. Bloomin' frustrating.

I am finding the book advert really frustrating too, as there is now no room at all for the cursor on the laptop for me to scroll. I have to position it on the 2mm of space between the advert and threads. Very annoying.

You got rid of all this other icon thingies a couple of days ago.....and have just replaced it with the book advert. As much as I would love to buy the book I do NOT need to be hyperlinked to the amazon page every time I click on every page.

It's actually like the cookbook ad is cut in half and the right half of the ad is on the left of my screen and the left half of the ad is on the right side of my screen if you follow. Visually disconcerting.

I've just had another look at Customise and I can't improve my settings in that, they're all good.

I'm seriously considering hoovering. This is bad.

Just started happening to me (I must admit I'd previously read the OP and thought she was mis-positioning her cursor )

I'm on desktop site via laptop, Google Chrome.

desktop site - laptop and FireFox.

It happened a couple of months ago with the Haven sidebars/skyscraper ads and only stopped when the sidebar adverts were removed. It looks like the code in the sidebars over-rides the links in the viewport bar.

I've just mentioned this on another thread, seems like it would be better here. Desktop, vista, firefox.

Hi MNHQ, I've sent you an email, but on chrome I'm finding that if I click my bookmark for MN, Threads I'm On from within MN or even Active from within MN, 9 times out of 10 it's taking me to amazon and your book. It's quite frustrating!
