How to report a mod?

springysofa · 22/12/2013 10:05

If I reported the mod's post, the mod would get it. HOw do I circumvent that please?

We don't have mods as such, MNHQ are the ones with the big red button.

HotCrossPun · 22/12/2013 10:31

I don't think that the volunteers receive reports. They can just delete obvious spammy or abuse posts they see.

springysofa · 22/12/2013 10:45

ok then MNHQ ie a blue highlighted post. HOw do I report a MNHQ post to MNHQ. If I press 'report' on the post, the person who wrote it will get my report. I would like to talk to someone else about that post and others by the same MNHQ poster.

I guess you could report your own post and explain the issue that way, and there'd be a fair chance a different HQer would see it first.

HECTheHeraldAngelsSing · 22/12/2013 11:05

Email them

JulieJingleBellsMumsnet · 22/12/2013 11:30

Hi, springysofa.

You're welcome to report any post and any poster to us by either using the 'report' button which is towards the right of the poster's name or by using the email address [email protected]

We're working our way through the reports and we'll be in touch shortly.

MNHQ.

BitOfFunWithSanta · 22/12/2013 11:35

Which post?

Amrapaali · 22/12/2013 11:38

Really?? Reporting MNHQ to MNHQ. That is surreal....

TequilaMockinBird · 22/12/2013 11:41
Confused
hootloop · 22/12/2013 11:42

Surely MNHQ don't ever break talk guidelines, seems odd to want to report them.

HotCrossPun · 22/12/2013 13:12

Dying to know which post by MNHQ has broken guidelines Grin

Mintyy · 22/12/2013 13:14

Ooooh. Marking place.

YoureBeingASillyBilly · 22/12/2013 13:14

Why is it surreal? HQers are human too and it's possible for them to say something they shouldnt from time to time.

usualsuspect · 22/12/2013 13:15

Blimey.

DeepThought · 22/12/2013 13:16

Oo er

Amrapaali · 22/12/2013 13:18

You are right, SillyBilly technically it IS possible for them to break the Talk guidelines. But in the short time I have been here, MNHQ has been usually firm but fair. And neutral.

So it was just a surprise really...

usualsuspect · 22/12/2013 13:20

Does OP think she's on Netmums?

Pollydingdonmerrilyonhigh · 22/12/2013 13:21
Shock
YoureBeingASillyBilly · 22/12/2013 13:22

Yes i think ive only ever seen one HQ post in 5 years that was 'not in the spirit of the site' Grin but it didnt breach guidelines. Was just saying that it's possible- we all have crazy days now and again and say "fuck off" when we wouldnt normally. Not that im saying this is why has happened. I have nonidea what this is about. Grin

Amrapaali · 22/12/2013 13:22

The word 'mod' suggests that, usual. Other internet places use it too, but yes Netmums is the first thing that sprang to my mind.

UsedToBeNDP · 22/12/2013 13:24

MN IS EATING ITSELF

[runs in circles, screaming]

PacificDingbat · 22/12/2013 13:24

Kate deleted one of her own posts actually 2 recently because she had started on the gin too early, so they must be human after all make mistakes from time to time, I guess.
Interesting.

Amrapaali · 22/12/2013 13:24

Hands UsedToBe a paper bag.

YoureBeingASillyBilly · 22/12/2013 13:24
