Planned site outage, this Sunday at 10am (Don't panic Captain Mainwaring)

Hi all,

Tech has asked us to let y'all know that they will be tinkering in the backend on Sunday morning around 10am.

The site will be down for a while so they can do some essential maintenance and upgrades, hopefully not for too long.

Fear not, there will be no dramatic changes. We are just giving you a heads up that this is happening.

I just had a 500 error.

The site was just completely unavailable for me for an extended period - no 'Site Offline' messages or anything. Maybe the servers need fed?

Please tell me that this advertising that is now each side of the thread isn't staying?! (It's organix at the moment). When I scroll up and down the advert stays still but the MN text moves, it's like the screen is on a race track.

If it's staying I'm going to have to leave - for me it induces motion sickness :(

Erm, why is the bottom of my screen a weird green colour? The background behind where I type my post, the emoticons and the shortcut list at the bottom is a VERY WEIRD GREEN COLOUR.

It is a very sludgy colour.

Is that what Tech has been doing all this time?

The side advertising has been here on and off for ages. However, I'm sure it used to be fixed and move with the text IYSWIM. I came across the sort that moved on another site and you're right - it's horrendous. I had to cover it up.

If I go on 'last 15 mins' or 'last hour' it takes me to a local page with error. Posting anything is slow.
