Hi all,

Tech has asked us to let y'all know that they will be tinkering in the backend Blush on Sunday morning around 10am.

The site will be down for a while so they can do some essential maintenance and upgrades, hopefully not for too long.

Fear not, there will be no dramatic changes. We are just giving you a heads up that this is happening.

MaryZygon · 23/11/2013 22:06

Oh, buck up Jacqueline, ffs.

It's November, you don't want Christmas smileys.

And Mumsnet is down half the time anyway.

Just get a life.

JaquelineHyde · 23/11/2013 23:23

Mary I have been Christmas shopping since July and have bought and wrapped everything and I've written my cards and done the food order.

I am amazingly organised and so want the Christmas fun to begin so I can be smug from smugsville all through December, whilst all the saddos run around trying to get presents as if they didn't know Christmas was coming.

In fact I DEMAND a smug git Christmas smily!

BlackeyedSusan · 23/11/2013 23:24

[tchshock] ?

BlackeyedSusan · 23/11/2013 23:24

bugger

MaryZygon · 23/11/2013 23:27

Jacqueline, I would tell you to fuck off to the far side of fuck, but I'm not allowed to Sad

I will slowly and calmly Christmas shop in December, I won't panic, and I'll be done in plenty of time.

so there [nyer]

PacificDogwood · 23/11/2013 23:47

I bid you all good night and farewell

Who knows when we will see each other again Sad - anything could happen if our work IT updates are anything to go by Hmm.

JaquelineHyde · 24/11/2013 00:23

Oooh go on Mary tell me to fuck off it gives me the opportunity to feel all smug about being done Grin

Christmas songs anyone?

All together now....Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose...

caramelwaffle · 24/11/2013 07:39

La de da da and the lights allllll aglow.
Merry Christmas toooo youuuu.

gazzalw · 24/11/2013 07:48

Maybe we can all go and catch up on yesterday's Dr Who TV festivities and sit on our hands for as long as it takes Tardis+Brew+Cake - what could be better, Mumsnet aside of course Grin!

RubyGoat · 24/11/2013 08:21

Even more peeved now. I've just started with this nausea bug that's going round, stuck by the loo, WHAT WiLL I DO to pass the time!

EdithWeston · 24/11/2013 09:25

How long is this going to last?

I'm going to have coffee and a nice bath, timed for start of outage, but will it be over by the time I am sweetly scented and caffeined up? Or is it gong to be the start of a frustrating day?

Nyssalina · 24/11/2013 09:39

This means I only have 23 minutes before having to get out of bed...
Oh well, the parent are arriving at 11, so I should probably scour the house before they arrive!

EduCated · 24/11/2013 09:42

Well. Here goes. I shall sit here singing as she goes down, in the manner of Titanic.

OhYouBadBadKaleds · 24/11/2013 09:42

My internet went down - so i have practically no time this am :(

DeepThought · 24/11/2013 09:46

See you laters

killpeppa · 24/11/2013 09:48

AGHHH 12 MINUTES.

SilverApples · 24/11/2013 09:51

It's a very open statement. No mention of how many minutes, hours or days it might take...
