Group PM

Has there ever been - or is there the possibility that you could have - a group PM facility on our wondrous world-class MN site? (blatant flattery)

It was an idea that came to me whilst watching the film 2012 - the Russian pilot (who is secretly bonking the oligarch's fluffy blonde girlfriend) has just succeeded in lifting the nose of his airliner over the crumbling masonry to safety (well, for a bit anyway) when all of a sudden it made me think how great it would be if you could:

• have a easily-maintainable friend group (not visible to anyone else of course) - names could be added or deleted at will

• a group message facility so that you could pass on a bit of news; tell them all that you're OK if you were off the boards; inform them of a namechange due to unforeseen circumstances, for instance.

This has probably been mooted a thousand times. I am a bit behind on this sort of thing, you know. I have only just worked out how to program the video machine and the bastard's obsolete now.

I also see what you mean LateKate - it would be good to perhaps be able to get around that problem, in the interests of confidentiality etc..

It could be useful too to have the ability to set up more than one group - say you had a The Doghouse group of chums and you were a 'Nobdie' - and you wished to be able to group PM them separately.

I dunno. I don't even know how to make my phone do things like that, the techno-amoeba that I am.

I'd quite like the power of invisibility and a large sack of used fivers and a helicopter, too, if you could sort that?
