Hello Morebiscuitsplease

There are instructions on how to do this (titled Links) at the bottom of this page, underneath the Post Message box and the instructions (titled Emphasis) on how to do bold, italics etc.

Alternatively, if you type your post in the message box and then click the 'convert links automatically' tickbox just underneath the message box, it will do just that for you.

Sorry typo, how do you link a news article or photo in a talk thread? Sorry it wasn't clear earlier.

Morebiscuits, you do it like this - two square brackets first do not leave a space, then paste the link then two square brackets at the end, no space again . So you get this but without the spaces - I've put spaces in to show you what you should see, including the brackets (although the site appears to have automatically converted my link anyway!)

So, removing the spaces you get this www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-london-41206462/inside-jmw-turner-s-renovated-house

Hope that makes sense?!

@jm2003 - I'm sorry to hear about your son, but glad he's OK. Unfortunately Site Stuff isn't the best place to post this. I think you'd be better off starting a new thread in Chat www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat
