When you do report stuff, how do you know if they have noticed?

They (eventually...) get in touch, via email. Sometimes it takes HOURS!!!!

They will post on the site stuff threads to say they are here. They don't reply personally to spam reports

Also the only thing likely to attract their attention at this time of night is telling them someone's finished the Gin.

Often they will send you an e-mail, but they're receiving so many reports about the spam that they are not sending e-mail responses.

I do wonder who would bother spammingMN with ads for live boxing etc- we're not an obvious target market. Could it possibly be the reference to 'fight club' in the AIBU talk guidelines has given someone the wrong impression...

exexpat its the feminism ones I reported straight away so they have bigger probs to solve then, cause I was suprised it is taking this long.

Just seen the threads you're talking about in feminism. I'd imagine you would get a response to those because its separate (and more serious I would have thought) than the spam problem.

I think it was about this time Tech appeared on Thurs night/Fri am to sort the spam issue. I'm not sure whether he can help with the troll issue though.
