Unable to access my account and had to make a new one- help please!

I'm in a bit of a situation- yesterday I logged out and when I tried to log in again the website said I was using the wrong password- I'm sure I wasn't! I emailed contactus for technical help. However my email account has thrown a major strop today and I can no longer access this either- had to make a new email account until the provider get round to having a look at it and trying to fix it.

So in the meantime I can't read any replies about the problem with my Mumsnet account set to that email account IYSWIM. I don't know if the problem with Mumsnet is because my email account has gone crazy (not very technical here!) Anyway, is there any way of sorting out the problem with accessing my old Mumsnet account without that email account? If not don't worry, I can use this one, just a bit of a pain! I know you say in your guidelines don't make multiple accounts but if I can't access the other one then I don't know what else to do!

If you email MNHQ with your new email account with all the old details (old mad email address and stuff) they should be able to help

If you go into Tools at the very top of the screen (as in there's 'File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help), then go into options, then go into security, then go into saved passwords it will tell you what your passwords are.

Thanks Val :) I'd know if I'd been banned, right? I'm sure I haven't done anything to deserve it but I'm paranoid! :(

The way you find out if you have been banned is when you can no longer log in

If you were banned you would have got a 404 File Not Found page So I'd bet it wasn't that

Val, I didn't. I just found my log in wouldn't work.

No, email account still isn't working :( not sure what's wrong with it, long story- think it may have been crashed by a file I was sent. Didn't even realise that was possible, apparently it is!

Ah good, I'm not getting a file not found page, so that's got to mean I'm just paranoid and not really banned at all, right?

FOF - if you're on Internet Explorer9 the tools are accessed via the little cog wheel icon. You should be able to get the normal menu bar up by right clicking the cogwheel and choosing it from the drop down menu.
