I registered to donate, was just wondering when we find out who to send to?

If not heard yet does that mean donation not needed? Want to know whether to give stuff elsewhere.

InkleWinkle · 24/11/2012 20:48

1978
I emailed this week to check & they haven't sent the details out yet.

WorraLiberty · 24/11/2012 22:22

If it's any help, Rebecca posted this on Thursday on another thread.

"We did originally say that we would have all of the mails out by the 23rd (tomorrow) However, it is going to be more like the 27th now.

Apologies for the delay - we are ruffling our papers and SandyMumsnet is busy making the spreadsheet make sense

Still plenty of time for the Christmas post!"

1978andallthat · 24/11/2012 23:18

Yes great help thank you. Am happy to wait. Just if it's not needed I want to find somewhere else to send it all for redistribution.

MNP · 27/11/2012 13:23

My emails arrived today :) now to remember what I donated :/

ParsingFancy · 27/11/2012 13:24

i've just got my email and realise... I've no idea how to do this!

I know NOTHING about this person, except her address and how many children she has, and that she's a she.

I don't know if she would appreciate vouchers (and for where) or sniff at my tiny contribution.

I've no idea what she like and any gift I buy is going to be way off the mark.

Help! How do I DOOO this?

RebeccaMumsnet · 27/11/2012 14:10

Calm down, it will all be fine. Grin

Get whatever you might like, you can buy for the MNetter or the DC or both, you could get gifts and wrap them, send a voucher, buy some Christmas decorations - whatever you fancy (or specifically offered) - it is just something nice for your fellow MNetter to open and enjoy as a small thank you for being a luffly human being - no pressure Wink

In all seriousness, folks have sent anything from a £5 voucher or nearly new baby clothes to a few hundred pounds. Most will do something around the £10 - £20 mark. Don't worry, it's supposed to be nice and cockle warming.

Here is last year's Thank you thread for some ideas

hth

ParsingFancy · 27/11/2012 14:25

Careful with all that shaking, RM - the head's none too tightly screwed on!

Thank you lots, cockle-warmers I can do.
