Is it just me? I'm using Chrome. Have tried logging off and in again.

Hi, you should be able to. There was a change today though. Now you need to put your password into the form as well when you change your name, so that we know it's you.

Tech · 25/06/2012 19:32

That was me by the way.

flyingunderpants · 25/06/2012 20:24

I can't name either. I can't click onto the box to type another name.

flyingunderpants · 25/06/2012 20:29

Its say my reg number is $member.Id and its got a old email address.Confused

PanelChair · 25/06/2012 20:34

I can't change back to my usual name. When I go into registration details, my reg number is $member.Id and all the boxes are blank.

Tech · 25/06/2012 20:37

Hi, I can see the problem. We'll fix it now. Sorry about that.

PanelChair · 25/06/2012 20:38

Thank you.

flyingunderpants · 25/06/2012 20:41

Thanks.
Offers more Wine and Thanks.

Tech · 25/06/2012 20:51

This should be working now. You will though need to put your password in (towards the bottom of the screen) to do a name change.

PanelChair · 25/06/2012 21:01

It was a faff the first time I changed back - had to give my password to get into my registration details, then again to make the name change - but in changing back in order not to blow my cover here it seemed more straightforward!

Tech · 25/06/2012 21:09

Hi Panel, If you've put your password in in the last few minutes it won't ask you again. It has a sort of time out malarkey.

PanelChair · 25/06/2012 21:13
Grin
FaLaMa · 25/06/2012 21:19

I cant name change either, I have just emailed you about it so scrub that.

FaLaMa · 25/06/2012 21:21

I have tried again, and cleared browsing history and cleared cookies, and I still cant do it, all I can even see is the public profile page the registration details screen is missing

IamtheZombie · 25/06/2012 21:35

Zombie agrees. Only the Public Profile page is accessible.

Tech · 25/06/2012 21:37

Hi, What happens if you go to this page:

www.mumsnet.com/member/registration-details

Thanks

FaLaMa · 25/06/2012 21:39

it brings up the registration details page, but then if you try to name change, it asks for your password.

Tech · 25/06/2012 21:41

Hi, Yes, it's meant to do that. Put your current password in (towards the bottom) and then you can name change. Or is that not working?

JeSuisLaZombie · 25/06/2012 21:42

Yes, it works.

IamtheZombie · 25/06/2012 21:43

And it still works.

It's just that we can't access that page other than by your direct link, Tech.

memememememememe · 25/06/2012 21:46

yes it works, but I cant see it other than from your link

Tech · 25/06/2012 21:47

Ah you can / could. You had to click "My mumsnet" in the main menu. But that was a bit non-obv, so I've added "My registration" under there. Is that better?

Tech · 25/06/2012 21:49

Sorry for the hassle by the way. When you look at stuff all day every day you don't always notice the obvious... excuses, excuses.

IamtheZombie · 25/06/2012 21:49

Zombie did that, Tech. It just reloaded the Public Profile page. She'll go try again now.

IamtheZombie · 25/06/2012 21:51

Yep. Whatever you just did seems to have resolved it.

Would you like a drink?

Thanks
