Log in via Your Profile is glitching

I want to do a namechange, which requires logging in with my e-mail address via "Your profile". Have tried logging in with 2 different browsers, cookies on and cookies off. Whatever I do, it flips the fields back to my username (after I have typed in my e-mail address) and tells me the e-mail address/password combo is not valid.

Although I know my password just fine, I went for password reminder to see if I could get into my profile that way. The password reminder system also did not work (put in my e-mail address, which is registered, and no e-mail was sent).

Logging in with username and password from the button at the top of the page works fine, but does not allow me access to my Profile information.

Fix, please?

Hello. Sorry to hear you're having such a frustrating time.

Most likely reason, we think, is that you're inputting the wrong email address. You need to type in the email address you registered to us with. Perhaps you've changed your email address since then but haven't updated your registration with us?

I really do think there is a problem with your Log In function worth looking into. Now the log in button at the top of the page doesn't work in Internet Explorer (am writing this post from a window in Firefox) : I input my username and password, and no log-in is made (when I clearly know my username and password, since I can log in via another browser and type this message.)

Yes, this has happened to me lots (after every namechange IIRC). I have to effectively log in twice. Am 100% certain I'm inputting details correctly.

It only seems to occur after a namechange, when you have to LO/LI to move your profile pics over to a new name.
