Dear MNHQ

After yesterdays unspeakable FakeKateGate Angry

Could I draw your attention to this thread.

We need a [kitten] for times of stress and to make us me smile.

If we can have cannabis tea Brew and flame head [cshock] surely we can have [kitten] as emoticon of the month.

Oh happymole you are too lovely for words :) :) [kitten]

I, ahem, obviously agree with happymole. The [kitten] could be deployed when

(a) Things are getting a little heated and overly robust on threads

(b) A poster is said and in need of a pick-me-up

(c) Just, well, just because.

Go on MNHQ - check my pics for proof that every MN needs a [kitten] Grin

nickelbabe · 27/04/2011 16:59

i love flame head [cshock]

never realised! [cgrin]

ClaireDeLoon · 27/04/2011 16:59

PMSL at flamehead!

BitOfFun · 27/04/2011 17:01

That's what the pom bear is for though.

All the relentess emoticon requests mean we are in danger of going to the dogs. And that's bad for kittens...

Seriously, if you need to calm a situation down or lighten the mood, warm a cockle etc etc, use your words, please. It has worked for centuries.

VivaLeBeaver · 27/04/2011 17:02

And a [penguin] emoticon as well please.

PinotGrigiosKittens · 27/04/2011 17:03

Oh Bof. You aren't living up to your name [flamehead] [cgrin]

happymole · 27/04/2011 17:05

That's why I suggested it as emoticon of the month though BOF to replace the pom bear.

[penguin] could be next.

It's just a bit of fun Grin

[kitten]

most definitely support the need for such a smiley.... it could also be used as a symbol of peace and contentment .. so you see, muti functional in the tradition of all MN emoticons

HecateQueenOfTheNight · 27/04/2011 17:07

[kitten] would become [cat] which would be used to mean catty.

Never underestimate the ability of mumsnetters to twist an innocent emoticon.

Smile

see?

Grin
TheRepublican · 27/04/2011 17:09

no more bloody emoticons

HecateQueenOfTheNight · 27/04/2011 17:10

No. We MUST have this one

TheOriginalFAB · 27/04/2011 17:11

When I am struggling and have to post on mental health seeing lots of [kitten] emoticons would be so uplifting. Do it for my mental health Smile.

BitOfFun · 27/04/2011 17:27

Emoticon of the month, I could live with

PinotGrigiosKittens · 27/04/2011 17:29

A [kitten] is for life, not just for Christmas, or err, the month [cgrin]

happymole · 27/04/2011 17:41

(bump)

(kitten)

OP posts:
happymole · 27/04/2011 17:42

Don't actually bump a kitten though, that would hurt.....

OP posts:
TheOriginalFAB · 27/04/2011 17:52

Smile Pinot.

A bollocks emoticon would be fun too.... :)

southeastastra · 27/04/2011 20:08

oh i thought (from the original thread) mn were offering to pay towards the kitten's care

PinotGrigiosKittens · 27/04/2011 20:11

Nope SEA - not heard from them. Maybe they don't want to start a precedent.
