cat, it's just the strikeouts. AdamTech came on this thread and explained that they were trying to simplify strikeouts and broke it in the process. They're supposed to be fixing it (but I bet they just went home to bed, pah!)

Currently working on it. :)

Recently it stopped being possible to use two dashes then a space to indicate parenthesis: the spaced parenthetical dashes either side of text caused that text to be struck out (before, that only happened if there was no space betweenn dash and text). It would be good if that could be kept as a possibility.

Not sure if you can do it right now.

I am testing it now this is the test by attempting parenthesis.

it's the american edit version of hyphens which is really annoying as I use that all the time and now have to change

This is close to it, actually.

The changes made, as part of making it hopefully more sensible, were, essentially, to make it so that text containing a double hyphen between words didn't end up getting a line through it. For instance, this shouldn't be deleted, as it's the simple-text version of an em dash:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit ametconsectetur adipisicing elitsed do eiusmod tempor incididunt.

Some people use spaces around them -- like this, so that too shouldn't cause text to get a line through it.
