Highlighting authors' posts

JustineMumsnet · 01/09/2010 15:30

For them that wants there's now an option to highlight the OP's posts in a thread. Just go to customise and choose "Yes" on the highlight posts by author option.

If you hate tints/hate OPs/hate change then just ignore this message and carry on as you were.

Cheers.

Pleeease tell me where customise is?

RustyBear · 02/09/2010 21:59

At the top of the page:

Mumsnet Talk

Talk: Topics | Customise | Unanswered messages | Getting started | Acronyms | Useful stuff
Threads: Active | I'm on | I'm watching | I started | Last 15 minutes | Last hour | Last Day

I dont care what colour it is - it works Thankyou!!!

Still want to be able to go straight to a posters name in a thread from my "I'm on"s tho, rather than having to trawl thru :(

  • sorry!
cleanandclothed · 02/09/2010 22:04

Thank you!

I like it.

minging farking colour though Grin

Oh, can we have a highlighter on active convos/threads I'm on too? so you can see when the OP has responded without bothering to click Confused

While I'm here... Please can we have a facility to block threads without having to open them? If I'm at work I don't want to have to open a thread entitled 'My husband has a third testicle' but i DO want to block it...

Hi TNT, You can do what you are asking. It's an option. Click "customise" near the top of this page to get the options page. One of the items under "Other options" on that page is 'Put "hide" link on Active Convs?' Just change the selection next to it to "Yes" and click save. Then threads on active convs get a "hide" link next the them, which hides the thread without opening it.

savoycabbage · 03/09/2010 04:18

I like it. It's a great idea. On mine, Justine's second post looks darker than her first so perhaps it will get paler and paler the longer we use it. Let's hope so.

TonariNoTotoro · 03/09/2010 08:37

Thanks Tech

I've looked at MyMumsnet, I've looked at the menus at the bottom of the page.

where's the Customise clicky-bit?
help! Confused

(I had this problem before when you messed around with colours and stuff, and I still can't find it! Sad )

nickelbabe · 03/09/2010 09:50

[must read to the end of a thread]

nickelbabe · 03/09/2010 10:03

I like it!
