I once took my kids to the Boden shop in New look clothes and all the mothers tarred and feathered me, it was awful.

katierocket · 24/08/2005 10:22

Well I hope you learnt your lesson ff.

piffle · 24/08/2005 10:22

ff we all know you are a masochist - you wanted that tar and feather look- why else would you frequent NL?

oliveoil · 24/08/2005 10:23

As a working class ex-council estate dweller, Boden make me feel inferior and a worryingly large chip develops on my shoulder. Mumsnet need to realise the effects of their capatalism.

fairyfly · 24/08/2005 10:24

oooooooo piffle, that hurt

The man on the Ebay ad, is he sexist by staring at innocent women at their keyboards?

spacecadet · 24/08/2005 10:27

my god youre right OO..he is looking straight at me..the pervert!

oliveoil · 24/08/2005 10:27

leering

Toothache · 24/08/2005 10:27

I tried desperately to dress both my children from Boden for as long as I possibly could.... but alas it was not to be. I lasted longer with dd...a whole month! But that is clearly because I love her more.

That Ad is a constant reminder of what a failure I am as a Mother........ YES I ADMIT IT..... I dress my children in synthetic fibres!

ferrrlounce

spacecadet · 24/08/2005 10:29

pmsl.. OO!

spacecadet · 24/08/2005 10:30

by then toothache..see you in a min!

ssd · 24/08/2005 10:34

toothache, synthetic fibres!! How can you live with yourself?

No one is addressing the real issue here, the synthetic fibres who can't speak for themselves.

I'll have to post a million links now explaining how you are all wrong.

Or have you just not bothered to read the whole 3 hour thread you lazy sod??

Toothache · 24/08/2005 10:35

No SC... this is a proper flounce..... I'm not coming back.

babyfibres · 24/08/2005 10:37

Who'll speak for me then?

Toothache · 24/08/2005 10:38

Babyfibres!! Now I totally draw the line at making clothes out of BABY FIBRES!

babyfibres · 24/08/2005 10:42

That was synthetic babyfibres!!

harpsichordcarrier · 24/08/2005 10:42

I am offended by, among others:
Amazon ad (can't read)
Disneyland Paris (am scared of mice. And the French)
M&S (am scared of very unflattering clothes, and traumatised by my mum making me get undressed on the shop floor when they didn't have dressing rooms)
Majestic (offensive to alcoholics and people who dirnk beer)
Harrods (elitist! also racist. probably.)
that picture of Mr Lazy (my child won't sleep and it is deeply insulting to remind me that others can sleep)
John Lewis (back to school - what about those of us who don't have children at school? how insensitive)
I am no doubt offended by all the other ads and posts and threads as well, just have to work out how they relate to me me me first.

jabberwocky · 24/08/2005 10:51

Well, I'm offended by the Boden ad as I live in the US and can't shop there even if I could afford it!

Toothache · 24/08/2005 10:52

I'm offended by Jabberwocky advertising the fact that she lives in the US.... as I've never been there and I would like to. Stop rubbing it in!

Mum2girls · 24/08/2005 10:53

I'm offended by Toothache's name as my filling fell out last night.....

harpsichordcarrier · 24/08/2005 10:54

toothache - is it OK to make things out of babyfibres if the parents think it's ok and it makes them happy??

Just taking my dd to McD's for lunch and some nice warm corporate evil now. (not joking about that actually.)

jabberwocky · 24/08/2005 10:54

I love this thread.

unicorn · 24/08/2005 10:57

mum2girls, what have you got against boys?
I find that offensive
