mumtosomeone, I breast fed too for 8 mnths, this was my choice. I agree with you that anyone who bottlefeeds has a hard time on this site sometimes, being undermined. Who are we to say what others should do?? We all make a choice.

hercules · 24/08/2005 10:10

but mumtosomeone - you havent read the links and keep asking questions that would be answered if you read them.

mumtosomeone · 24/08/2005 10:11

ok..so some are against formula, saying it is not the next best thing to breast milk...what is?
simple question

hercules · 24/08/2005 10:12

no one is against formula, they are against the way the formula companies advertise. REad the other thread from mears.

Avalon · 24/08/2005 10:12

mts - it's not a bottle feeding debate, it's about advertising.

mumtosomeone · 24/08/2005 10:12

read some..dont really answer.
So 1)who will tiktok upset
a)milupa
b)mumsnet
c) netters who value her advice?

ssd · 24/08/2005 10:12

marthamoo I apologise, I read your post wrong.

please give mumtosomeone a break, sounds like she's being told off for not doing her homework. Her opinion is as valid as anyone elses.

mumtosomeone · 24/08/2005 10:13

So how do people sell products if they dont advertise?

mumtosomeone · 24/08/2005 10:14

thanks SSD
I have read threads and arnt really getting the answers to the questions I am asking

Avalon · 24/08/2005 10:14

mts - tiktok's not out to upset anyone. She's made a decision for herself.

mears · 24/08/2005 10:14

mumtosomeone
A thread I have started to answer your questions. It is my last word on the subject you will all be glad to hear

JoolsToo · 24/08/2005 10:16

I really hope I'm not being called 'dense' here

suzywong · 24/08/2005 10:17

tik tok is not taking action to upset anyone, that isn't really the point. She feels she cannot be true to her self and her principles if she stays on MN.

Can't really spell it out anymore clearly than that I'm afraid

ssd · 24/08/2005 10:18

Joolstoo, I think the "dense" was directed at me.

marthamoo · 24/08/2005 10:18

Jools, I would never call you dense. It's the metaphorical brick wall I am banging my head against which is dense - you just posted a few seconds before me.

mumtosomeone · 24/08/2005 10:19

well its up to her.
But i feel it is a shame for the rest of the people that relay on her. Dont want to say too much as she is not here to 'defend' herself. But isnt she NOT standing up to whhat she bekieves in by walking away and not supporting those that could use her help?

mears · 24/08/2005 10:19

Sorry Joolstoo - realised that did not look right. I am just angry and sad that I am having to consider my position on mumsnet. I never attend study days supported by formula milk companies (they suck in health professionals too).

I think the advert here is unethical and I am really torn about what to do if it stays.

Am off to hairdressers. No more from me.

mumtosomeone · 24/08/2005 10:19

thought I was the dense brickwall to be honest!!!

katierocket · 24/08/2005 10:20

Please don't go mears - go to the hairdressers obviously but please come back I mean.

mumtosomeone · 24/08/2005 10:20

think I am dense..the advert/link is legal..yes?

ssd · 24/08/2005 10:21

maybe it's both of us!!

suzywong · 24/08/2005 10:21

you do seem to be a tad purposefully obtuse actually, MTS, regarding tik tok's decision

mumtosomeone · 24/08/2005 10:22

ok I am a dense brick wall..what does that mean?

Avalon · 24/08/2005 10:23

mts - read tiktok's post of 11.50 pm. You can't get clearer than that.

marthamoo · 24/08/2005 10:23

Oh blimey, I give up. No more from me.
