Pushchair shed July part 1 - is there such a thing as a perfect pram?

1000 replies

Bexie reminded me it was the first of July!

I am still on the search for a pram that does all I want it to!

right ive just booked courier with parcel2go and wrapped the pushchair with the carrycot. Although you have the option of putting dimensions in I did'nt when booking but had a look on their site and it says the max volume is 4 cubic feet, it will exceed this!

Do you I should cancel it and rebook with dimensions this time (it bumps the cost to more than double)?

nicolamumof3 · 03/07/2009 14:42

he's got narrow feet he has only one pair of clarks doodles i bought for our feb holiday that are now tight, he only has trainers otherwise, been unable to get any sandals that fit him as he's so narrow. off to russell and bromley and jones.

maxybrown · 03/07/2009 14:44

lol dunoon. I thought, ooh that's unusual an upside down pram

I couldn't get sandals to begin with for Ds cos all too narrow! typical....

JigglyPiggy · 03/07/2009 14:45

lol at LO upside down, its enough of a struggle to get them strapped in the right way up!

it looks good maxi and has raincover and footmuff aswell

nicolamumof3 · 03/07/2009 14:46

jiggly use senditnow.com they only ask weight not dimensions

maxybrown · 03/07/2009 14:47

yes....thought I could sell the footmuff I don't want to pay £25 courier though so hope he gets back to me!

maxybrown · 03/07/2009 14:50

Hooray he said i can sort courier out

JigglyPiggy · 03/07/2009 14:54

that will be a bargain especially if you sell the footmuff on.

going to try and cancel courier and rebook!

pebbles79 · 03/07/2009 15:02

DHL guy told me that they don't check the dimensions. Basically, if the driver accepts it then it's fine, I always send items that are bigger than you're allowed.

JigglyPiggy · 03/07/2009 15:06

hmm it is dhl that id be using but wonder how much extra i would be charged?

JigglyPiggy · 03/07/2009 15:09

im also having to book a courier to collect from a seller on monday and was going to use senditnow but they've given me dimensions and not the weight - not doing very well with couriers!

maxybrown · 03/07/2009 15:13

Jiggly, don't worry about weight - is it a pushchair? I just way over estimate on senditnow. basically it has to weigh no more than 30kg!!!!

JigglyPiggy · 03/07/2009 15:19

not a puschair but a carrycot so mostly fabric except for a base board. I dont know which is more stressful wrapping them to send or arranging couriers to collect!!

(its not putting me of more though )

Disenchanted3 · 03/07/2009 15:59

Nicola are they for the wedding?

i have a BN pair of black shoes, hush puppies, if they are the right size, they are slim, ds foot was too wide for them

what size?

Don't want anything for them

Disenchanted3 · 03/07/2009 16:11

grrr, bee buyer 'couldn't get to bank today

tutu100 · 03/07/2009 16:19

Disenchanted3, just to let you know I've asked about a couple of things on your other thread .

sweetkitty · 03/07/2009 16:43

FMTD - glad you got that blue Infinity was a lovely colour

So don't like the Loola 3 wheeler looks odd

Had DD3 at the docs she has a bad ear infection and has been given antibiotics, I just thought she was crabbit and not sleeping well due to the weather my poor wee baby, feel a bad Mummy now, have to take her abck on Wednesday to see if she has burst her ear drum as doc couldn't see due to all the gunk in there.

I am not used to ill children this is the first time any of mine have had antibiotics, DD1 who is almost 5 has never been to the GP in her life.

FlyMeToDunoon · 03/07/2009 18:20

maxy did you get that bebeconfort pram then? Bargain!

Disenchanted3 · 03/07/2009 18:33

Its very fat that 3 wheeled loola! odd!

Hows dd sk? I thin Rorie has caught Addisons chicken pox, not 100% sure yet, will know by morning I bet!!

Ive got some mountain buggy hood rods, andyone know what they are worth?

Someone on forsale wants them I said £15 posted, that sound reasonable?

Am dying to get BJCM here!

and get hood for infinity also.

Not sad that bees going at all, i actually HONESTLY prefer the infinity... how mad is that?! lol

Disenchanted3 · 03/07/2009 18:36

Actually Im a bit 'gah' as I sold P&T to do kids room up, I went to ikeas bought bunkbeds, matresses, storage, bedding rug,

and got robots bedding from additions, pillows, curtains, canvas for walls , laundry bags etc ...

and then I though 'need new carpet' so sold bee for that,

but I went today and got a gorgeous beige one to fit their massive room for £50

So didn't have to sell be at all.

Trouble is I'll be sat here now with £250

Even more when quest and bits sell.
