The newer style ones are lighter.

FlyMeToDunoon · 25/05/2009 21:52

I heard the newer ones are heavier.
I keep meaning to get bathroom scales to weigh my ebay stuff on

nicolamumof3 · 25/05/2009 21:52

mmh i heard newer ones are heavier too?

FlyMeToDunoon · 25/05/2009 21:54

How are you getting on without DP Nicola? When is he back?

BexieID · 25/05/2009 21:54

I heard that too which is why I got the old style for lightness, but it wasn't really light at all. I have to bump it up/down 25 steps! cdrive is lighter, not weighed it yet though , but the adjustable handle moves up/down when bumping, so i'm worried it'll break!

nicolamumof3 · 25/05/2009 22:07

i hate bumping always feels like 'pram abuse' to me!! does tom get out and walk up steps tho?

flyme im getting along fine tbh, am starting to miss him more now as 'terry' rather than just an extra pair of hands which is good. absence makes the heart grow fonder eh? im worn out with kids too 24/7.

NormaSknockers · 25/05/2009 22:18

Basl no problem at all - always happy to help where I can. My everyday pram is the BJCE really as I use that with the Strolli attached for DD.

When it's just me & DS I use my Skate & I have my Zapp for holidays/popping in the car for short trips etc.

When the time comes to sell the Skate I'll get another BJCM & have that long side my BJCE & Zapp

5inthebed · 25/05/2009 22:20

MrsM, I'll swap you back the bjcm for the skate .

BexieID · 25/05/2009 22:21

lol @ pram abuse

He does usually walk up the stairs and will sometimes walk down, but when it's just me going out with him, he usually wants in buggy.

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 25/05/2009 22:25

bexie turf him out, you can't be lifting all that weight hunnie

BexieID · 25/05/2009 22:37

Think i'll have to put buggy downstairs first.

NormaSknockers · 25/05/2009 22:37

Nice try 5in Skate isn't going anywhere for some time yet! Plus will want a black BJCM

5inthebed · 25/05/2009 22:44

Bexie, you need to get him used to the stairs! Your pelvis won't tahnk you for this in months to come.

Sorry Norma . I wouldn't swap anyway, love my bjcm. Can see why you want another. Get the footmuff as well. Just got one, and they are F.A.B.

NormaSknockers · 25/05/2009 22:50

I use my Kaiser/Snunkie on mine - wasn't keen on the BJ footmuff, to plain for me I'm glad you're still loving it

pebbles79 · 25/05/2009 22:51

I like my BJCM too but don't use it very often. I'm really loving my Bee though, wasn't sure if I would but I adore it, been my most favourite in a long time.

BexieID · 25/05/2009 22:53

I know, best to start now.

Toms potty trainig bits came and today he peed 4 times in the potty chair but pooed on the floor! He did pee on the floor whilst he was painting. DP thinks he stands up to pee rather than sits on the potty chair. Maybe he was trying to do that with the poo but it wasn't anywhere near the potty!

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 25/05/2009 22:58

Bexie good luck with the potty training. it took a while with tate to get him on the toilet, we bypassed the potty altogether, i can't believe how amazingly easy its been he's dry at night too.

pebbles79 · 25/05/2009 23:04

We had Liam's first night without a pull-up last night and he was dry this morning - was so proud! Ross, who is 6 has a bladder problem and has never been dry at night so it'll be nice if Liam has no problems in that area but I think Ross was a bit upset this morning

basl · 25/05/2009 23:08

norma it looks like i would want three although i just read a review on celeb mothers or something and the long review kept going on about how massive it was and not easy to go round shops as the wheels are so wide apart. She also said she felt very Selfconcious about the size with her 10mth baby in it as it towered over her. She said it was like some story about a girl in a huge rocking chair. This certainly was not the impression i got from you. 5inthebed Do you have any other strollers ?

claret1980 · 26/05/2009 08:20

Morning all!

Hope everyone is well today.

5inthebed · 26/05/2009 08:32

basl I have a Maclaren techno XT as well as the BJCM. I originally bought the BJCM to use as a bus pram, but I'm loving it so much atm I'm using it more. Really should use the Maclaren a bit more.

nicolamumof3 · 26/05/2009 08:39

Morning all!! hows everyone today? its grey and wet here, bye bye sunshine lol.

boys are in creche today for 2 whole hours woohoo freedom pass.

Pebbles thats fab about Liam its such a lovely feeling isn't it

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/05/2009 09:03

Morning.
Great you are having some time to yourself Nicola.
DD3 is potty training and she is really good at using it. But mummy is getting fed up with emptying it. We aren't trying to go dry at night yet.

pebbles79 · 26/05/2009 09:12

Another dry night here, we were just so nervous because of DS1. Liam didn't really use the potty and went straight to the toilet, think it's because he copied his big brother although when he first started using the toilet he couldn't quite reach it properly, lol (he didn't sit down to pee either, went straight to standing up )

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/05/2009 09:16

It makes such a difference when they are dry most of the time doesn't it.
Does DS1 wear something at night then?
I must go and do some housework.
