[Butts in} I've been watching this thread for a while and am deeply envious of your pushchair collections, since I crave a new pushchair every week! I have a M&P Pliko Travel System, Silver Cross Pop and Silver Cross Tenby.

I've been looking at the Zia and wondered if anyone has experience of it? We're going to the States soon and I'd like a really small pushchair. I'd happily have a Zapp but it doesn't recline. Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

nicolamumof3 · 10/05/2009 13:22

hi puree, how old is your dc? everyone loves their BJCM so think i'd rather have that over a zia? zia v.low down? or a mac quest, cannot go wrong with that, nice lie back seat and leg rest, easiest raincover ever comfy seat, light straightforward and exc.quality.

BexieID · 10/05/2009 13:23

The Zia is quite low, I had to bend down and i'm only 5ft2". Very flimsy feeling too. Didn't like the Zapp either. Don't know how small the fold is on the BJCM but everyone seems to like them!

Disenchanted3 · 10/05/2009 13:24

BJCM,m not as small fold as zapp but much much better quality, hood, height, its more stable, taller.

lillypie · 10/05/2009 13:26

I haven't had a Zia but people say they are flimsy.I would go for a Mac and buggybag. Maybe a Quest or Triumph-super light, sturdy small umbrella fold good sunshades and they recline.

pebbles79 · 10/05/2009 13:37

The Babywelt Moon Kiss is just like a Zia but felt more sturdy IMO.

sal1309 · 10/05/2009 13:56

Hi all hope your all well

Hi puree, ive just bought a zia for my hols and it coped quite well dd loved it. Folds small but not as small as a zapp, seat is nice and wide. The handles are very low so if your tall it wouldnt be good for you back. It does feel quite flimsey but it coped well with my dd in it. Im deffinatly keeping it for the boot of the car since dd is walking most places now.

sweetkitty · 10/05/2009 14:29

Strange day here we went out shopping but it began to rain now it is very sunny.

Had a good mooch round M&P loved the Skate someone was buying one when I was in, also saw a Bee in the flesh, they are quite small and low down though aren't they, cute though. They had pink Triumphs in TK Maxx as well but that was about it.

Disenchanted3 · 10/05/2009 14:58

They never have buggies in my TKMaxx,

keep nipping in to see if they have anything nice but seems to be the same stuff.

Still had a couple of lambskins and was tempted to get another but didn't.

maxybrown · 10/05/2009 15:23

dis they have the pink macs in Stockport! Not that you're having anymore buggies any way

Disenchanted3 · 10/05/2009 15:25

Ha, I went to the one at Trafford park, Stockport is much better,

might have to go peep

no buggies though.

maxybrown · 10/05/2009 15:37

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Yeah it's not bad that one in Stockport.....they have had the buggies for a while tho.

horsemadgal · 10/05/2009 15:47

Sweetkitty was it The Fort you went to today? Always rains when I go there.
They had MacLarens last time I was in as well.

sweetkitty · 10/05/2009 18:23

How did you guess horsemadgal?

Same here was saying the same thing to DH today that it's always freezing and raining when we got to the Fort, it was sunny when we got there, then we had hailstones and pouring rain, how decided to build an open air shopping centre in Scotland anyway???

Loads of Luna's kicking around though was like the Luna show.

sal1309 · 10/05/2009 18:47

Hi all well i did a carboot this morning and it wasnt worth getting out of bed for lol

Me and my mates are still clearing out so have put a list on for sale board lots more to come. I have decided the four seasons has to go no point in keeping it especially since ive got the zia lol

Tartanmam · 10/05/2009 19:47

Hi, i'm looking for a 2 in 1 pram (i think) for my sister. I know there is the Silver cross Linear freeway and Mama & Papa do a similar one which lies totally flat but the back can then be lifted up to be a pushchair but i am struggling to find any others (she really doesn't want to have to buy a seperate carrycot)- any i do find don't look very 'pramy' when they are lying flat, and for a baby due at the end of October jst wouldn't be practical.

DS is 3 now so i am totally out of the loop as far as prams etc go and getting really frustrated trawling the internet for something, can anyone give me some suggestions please.

nicolamumof3 · 10/05/2009 19:49

oooh theres loads! so is she wanting it to be one unit or seperate carrycot?

fannybanjo · 10/05/2009 19:51

Hi ladies, I don't usually post in here but am as pram mad as yourselves!

Anyway, I am just wondering if any of you would be interested in a couple of prams I want to sell, one is M&P Twin Aria (only 10 weeks old and barely used) and the other is an Icandy Apple (I bought this off ebay for DD2 thinking I would convert it to a Pear when DD3 came along but didn't bother). The Icandy is in good condition, the usual scratches on the frame but the seat of the pram is in great condition. I can't get any pics until mid week as they are in storage but if anyone is interested, let me know. I would like £75 for the M&P Aria and £90 for the Apple.

Thanks!

NormaSknockers · 10/05/2009 19:58

Tartanmam ones I can think of M&P Skate, M&P Switch, M&P Pliko Pramette, O Baby Zezu, Bugaboo Cam, Mothercare My3/4...I'm sure there's lots more

maxybrown · 10/05/2009 20:25

tartanmam, I am selling my Silver Cross Linear, immaculate!

maxybrown · 10/05/2009 20:31

It is the second one I have by the way, had it on classic chassis first, it is a great pram, very roomy and comfortable. The linear chassis is easier to get about with though I have to say, the classic chassis is really heavy, not to push so much but very heavy all the same.

It's very sturdy though all round and a great size toddler pushchair too.

pureeandpearls · 10/05/2009 20:35

Thanks ladies- you've definitely put the kibosh on the Zia, which is good I guess. As we are going to the States I might just go without a stroller and buy the BJCM whilst I'm there......

BTW Tartanmam- totally recommend Pliko (would even consider selling mine inc. carseat.)

nicolamumof3 · 10/05/2009 20:40

oh yeah if you are going to the states! happy pram shopping!!

horsemadgal · 10/05/2009 20:51

fanny, my SIL really wanting an Apple, can you send pics to [email protected] please.

mogwai · 10/05/2009 21:02

I have a 2005 model Quinny Buzz that I'm dusting off for the impending new arrival.

When I opened the Buzz Bag I remembered that the raincover was slightly ripped - it's not fixable.

I'm looking at getting a replacement on ebay but they all seem to be the "new type" raincover with a zip.

I have no idea whether this raincover will fit the original model Buzz.

Can anyone advise?
