BJCE

5inthebed · 06/05/2009 19:54

Strangely enough, I looked at a BJCE last year before I was pg with DS3 and was looking for a decent pram for DS2 (he has autism so needed a pram). We got a Maclaren Major in the end (free from wheelchair services). But I do think I'd have loved the BJCE.

Now, there is a BNIB BJCM on Ebay atm, currently got 5 days left and has had 19 bids already and is at £102. How much should we say it will sell for?

MrsMagooo · 06/05/2009 19:56

I did too 5in was very tempted - glad I waited though as the 2009 version has soooo many more features.

flame17 · 06/05/2009 19:58

Sorry to butt in, but I know here is a good place to find Nicola.
I was just wondering if you are still intrested in the bike trailer Pics the other sale never went ahead. You can mail me at f1amef1amef1ame at yahoo.co.uk.

nappyaddict · 06/05/2009 19:59

I really want a 3 wheeler at the moment but not sure whether to get BJCE, MB or Nipper.

MrsM how is BJCE easier to push than Nipper? Is it lighter to push than the Nipper aswell?

MrsMagooo · 06/05/2009 20:01

Doesn't feel any different weight wise to push IMO you only notice the weight when ifting it in/out car, feels sturdier to push & literally glides along.

claret1980 · 06/05/2009 20:17

I have been looking at the BJCM for our hols to Legoland in August. Although we are going with relatives and they have a dd who will be 15 months so may just take P&T. May just buy one anyway.

nicolamumof3 · 06/05/2009 20:21

i haven't had a BJCE but for a toddler i'd say the nipper deffo. it is one of my all time faves. when i sold my p&t i had enough to get a mb and was all set to order, then i got cold feet im so glad i never spent that much now. Yes it is nice (i've pushed my friends now!!) but not worth double the price imo. the joy of the nipper is in its lightness but it doesn't feel flimsy to me i can push either of the boys in it with one hand with ease. i can even push one handed with buggyboard and my two boys on/in it!

nicolamumof3 · 06/05/2009 20:22

If i had a girl i would have liked to have tried Hollies BOB she was selling lovely, but pink/brown no good for me!

Flame think will have to leave trailer now im afraid. but thanks for remembering me.

flame17 · 06/05/2009 21:08

No probs, thanks for letting me know.

nappyaddict · 06/05/2009 21:36

MrsM can you feel a difference in weight when lifting it up kerbs?

horsemadgal · 06/05/2009 22:16

Flame, does your bike trailer thingy have a front wheel to add when it's off bike?

Disenchanted3 · 07/05/2009 08:53

Girls, what would you do, if anything!, if you were talking to someone and they said that they had sold someone on mumsnet an item, cheaply and then they had seen that item immediatly after on ebay for a higher price (with the same ebay user name as their mumsnet name)?

And you had sold that person something recently so you checked ebay and the item you sold them was on there for again a much higher price?

nicolamumof3 · 07/05/2009 08:56

if it was me i would email the person and say if they didn't want it anymore you would be happy to accept it back! is it up for alot more? i personally don't agree with this, yes buy/profit on ebay but not through mnet?? everyone is different tho? hard to comment with exact circumstances.

Disenchanted3 · 07/05/2009 09:08

Yea, I mean I bought the MB off here for £102 inc postage,

i paid £20 for the paint spray

and Ive put it on ebay, but id much rather sell it on here for what i paid and paint coverage, I need to get £20 more to cover fees on ebay!

5in the bed said some MNer might want it and i said id only want £123 which is what i paid,

but on ebay its an auction so its up to them what they pay if you see what i mean?

But no-one on here wants it.

But Im just buggy mad and genuinly wanted that but didn't realise how big it was.

This item isn't really something that could be 'too big' etc ..

and its BNIP and put on a BIN.

But I have to say, that I think they do it ALOT. Ive noticed before but its never been one of my items so not bothered iykwim?

Disenchanted3 · 07/05/2009 09:09

Ahh, I don't care really, I just think its a bit rude, especially when she was saying how much she wanted it etc... and asked me to take specific photos .

MrsMagooo · 07/05/2009 09:11

I was going to say if it's on auction that's a bit different but just saw you said it's on BIN so bit bloody cheeky.

Disenchanted3 · 07/05/2009 09:14

She said to me whist buying' How much are they worth in the shops?'

Disenchanted3 · 07/05/2009 09:15

Oh forget it, I shouldn't have posted it. Its up to her.

Maybe someone will pull her up over it some other time!

nicolamumof3 · 07/05/2009 09:17

what is it hunni? what is it being sold?

MrsMagooo · 07/05/2009 09:18

I think it's fair to bring it to attention, not very nice thing she's doing.

Like I said, if you pop something on auction with no reserve & it sells for more then you paid that's different as out of your control but if put on a BIN for more then bought that's unfair. Although is a huge amount more? Like is just high enough to cover eBay fees or way above that IYKWIM?

lillypie · 07/05/2009 09:21

Ok guys I may be in a minority here but I don't see the problem at all!

I am assuming Dis that you got the price that you wanted for the item?

If the buyer than makes a profit buy selling it on then good luck to her surely? What difference can it possibly make to you?

She wouldn't be the only person to have sold things on at a profit would she?And if she does it every day so what?

maxybrown · 07/05/2009 09:31

I have sold things on ebay for more than I have paid on here......but only when I have finished with it etc....not purposely to buy it to sell to make money if that makes sense??

claret1980 · 07/05/2009 09:45

My Buzz sold on Ebay!!!! Just got to get it all cleaned and packed up.
Right, do paypal do that thing where they hold your money till the buyer gives you good feedcback? Could really do with money thats all.

Dis, I wouldn't worry about it at all. It has happened to me before but I didn't question it as they bought it, so it is up to them what they do with it.

basl · 07/05/2009 09:51

MrsMagooo my little girl is 3 and will be four in Julu. Petite little girl and my baby is 9month and he will be 1 in July. I was thinking of asking the nice lady we are renting the apartment from in Tenerife if she can hire us a double buggy. She lives there and has two children. She has arranged to pick us up from Airport in a seven seater with appropriate car seats for kids. Fantastic service. She also advised we could hire this as a taxi if we needed to tour the Island. The Strolli sounds fantastic.
