marypoppins - at 16mo I would say you're down to a mei-tai (possibly a toddler sized one) or a woven wrap - they'd be the only really comfy ones for a bigger baby or toddler

MoominMymbleandMy · 28/04/2009 09:21

I use SSCs and MTs with an 18-month-old. I really don't get on with wraps!

foxytocin · 28/04/2009 10:30

These are the slings I have decided to sell. sob sob sob

slings for sale

foxytocin · 28/04/2009 10:32

sorry wrong link, i meant here

McDreamy · 28/04/2009 10:35

Lovely photos foxy but only one sling! Is it a woven one? I am currently using a moby and a hotsling but when DD gets bigger I have heard the stretchy wraps can not be as useful so I would be very interested in a woven wrap.

foxytocin · 28/04/2009 10:37

try again mcdreamy, the second link has 5.

they are all woven wraps. the Millefiore is a Didymos the brands of the others are mentioned.

foxytocin · 28/04/2009 10:39

yes a woven lasts longer for babies and are more supportive for bigger babies and toddlers. they will happily and comfortably hold a 35lb child.

McDreamy · 28/04/2009 10:39

Thanks got the second link now! I have never used a woven wrap before - silly question are they one size fits all? Only I've noticed you've included measurements with them.

foxytocin · 28/04/2009 10:43

if you are a size 12 - 20/22 a 4.6m wrap is the one you need for all carries.

I am a size 8 and a 4.0m wrap is long enough for me to do all wraps.

the shorter one I am selling, 3.2m is good for most people to do a rucksack carry, hip carry and kangaroo carry but these work better when a baby is already sitting up.

cornflakegirl · 28/04/2009 10:46

ChairmanMiaow - thanks for the recommendation.

Moomin - I think I'm going to go with the consensus, because otherwise I will have to make a decision, which would be bad

McDreamy · 28/04/2009 10:46

Thanks for that - I am a 14 at the moment (post baby) but usually a 12. I really wanted your Storchenwiege Inka but maybe I would be better of with your Ulli?

McDreamy · 28/04/2009 10:51

Changed my mind, can I have you Ulli?

foxytocin · 28/04/2009 11:06

yes you can have Ulli. She is lovely and will fit you fine. If you decide to resell her, let me know. will CAT you my details.

foxytocin · 28/04/2009 11:07

oops, you don't accept CAT. can you give me your email addy?

McDreamy · 28/04/2009 12:39

grimmer dot kim at mac dot com thanks

TaurielTest · 28/04/2009 20:07

Ooh, I fancy your Storch Inka... but must be strong as am saving up for a s/h Patapum.
Resist.

ChairmumMiaow · 28/04/2009 20:08

puddock - are you looking for baby or toddler? I have a baby one for sale. Hardly used - I hated it! (I think I'm too fat for it!)

TaurielTest · 28/04/2009 21:51

Umm, not quite sure, toddler I think. I tried a toddler one at a slingmeet that seemed fine for DS, though he's only 10 months - and that slingmeet friend is thinking of selling hers on, so I may well go for that. I want it to be usable for as long as possible - but I want it to fit now too... and work arms-out, as he generally prefers that. But if I settle on a baby one I will come to you! I saw one for sale on naturalmamas, is that yours?

misdee · 29/04/2009 19:54

is anyone selling a size 4 wrap? need one ASAP for a holiday/car. i have too much fabric left on my 6 when doing a kangeroo carry.

OP posts:
foxytocin · 29/04/2009 20:17

the Inka I ahve for sale was bought as a size 4. they usually measure 3.7m but this one measures 4m. (Size 5 is normally 4.2m)

JackBauerkillspigs · 30/04/2009 09:59

I have a blue Didymos nino that is a size 3 but that may be too short.

(gutted I haven't checked thread in a few days and missed out on Ulli!)

foxytocin · 30/04/2009 10:36

ulli is v. pretty. I have a Didy Elise size 6 for sale tho. will take and put up a photo later today.

Ooooo hello!! Just found this thread by accident!!

I have:

Storch Ulli 5.2m
Sybela 4.6m
Bamberoo Deluxe in "Timeless" pattern
Bamberoo ordinary in "Purple Forest) pattern(currently on holiday)

I just sold a Didy to Misdee, and have also had a green/yellow Millie too which i sold a while ago.

Am looking for a shortie or even a RS as i'm wondering if i should never have sold my Freedom RS (although i dont know if they are suitable for toddlers).

foxytocin · 30/04/2009 12:38

I have a blue mille for sale RGPargy. Size 3.
