SK hope your dd's enjoy bunkbeds tonight, im sure they will. luka keeps getting into tates bed, but we need to keep him in cot still for now.

Carrie, how strange in m&s maybe thats just your little easter bonus lol! Think how much money m&s have made on Easter Eggs this year lol!!!

i agree you prob only need quest or volo in car if for short trips? i think xt and volo would be good combo, but i still think air tyres would be nice for you as you do alot of walking.

i've just had nice snooze on sofa feel better for it but now i have to go to work. yuck.

sweetkitty · 09/04/2009 16:23

I managed to get Toms Lightning McQueen cake today after soft play, so am happy now. Just need to tidy up the house, make some krispie cakes (choc ones and toffee/marshmallow ones), and get the food ready on saturday. Oh, will need to fetch the helium balloons as well. Party bags are sorted but need to wrap the pass the parcel up.

mamadiva · 09/04/2009 16:58

BexieID · 09/04/2009 17:02

Need to make them first, lol. Might put a mini egg on top as well. Or maybe just put it on a tray rather than cases as it is quite gooey!

5intheEgg · 09/04/2009 17:17

Got the Micralite Bexie . Already been out in it, love it!

The DHL man asked my mam if it was me the parcel was for even though it went to my mams address. LOL. Obviously knows me and my pram obsession well.

Thats me done with prams for now though. DH not too happy about there being 2 prams again, he just doesn't get it.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

5intheEgg · 09/04/2009 17:18

Dis your DD is really sweet. How old is she? I have a 19 week old Sumo. Am looking to get him a bumbo as well.

Sk, your DD is cute, she looks at home in her pram.

nicolamumof3 · 09/04/2009 17:31

at work now (so can't view pictures SK love your dd's name tho!)

5in glad you got your micralite, you can really pimp that up, two prams in one week fabby easter for you then!! its always handy to have two prams. Tate has been v.lazy lately and as dp not working has been in pram every time we go out. my buggy board is on way so should be able to try that next week, keep your fingeres crossed he will stand on it!

Bexie glad you got cake, when is Toms bday? its my toms bday next week! we are off to pizza express and my mum is babysitting little ones so should be nice.

mama is it not bankhols in Scotland on Monday? bet you can't wait to get BJCM!! that will work out well then as you won't be pramless!

Disenchantegg3 · 09/04/2009 17:32

Shes 15 weeks We have the tray too, its really cool.

SK Bethany is adorable

nicolamumof3 · 09/04/2009 17:38

i had bebe pod for tate and luka they were so good, really helpful for when you couldn't always be there propping them up. also leapfrog learn n groove was fab luka loved it!!

BexieID · 09/04/2009 18:59

It is a bank holiday in Scotland this weekend but some places are business as usual.

Toms b/day is Easter Sunday! His party is Saturday though as thought people might do family things on a Sunday, especially with it being Easter.

5in glad you got it ok. Hope you didn't mind the raincover not being in the little bag, just couldn't get it in there!

I can't find the raincover for mine, DP must have put it somewhere. Which means I can only use MB when it's raining atm. Tom hates the liner on the Micralite and makes me take it off!

BexieID · 09/04/2009 18:59

Tom hated his Bumbo, lol.

pebbles79 · 09/04/2009 19:47

Dis she's gorgeous! I loved my bumbo but it does only last for a short time. I found it better in the bath than the plastic bath seats and it was good for out in the paddling pool in the summer.

nicolamumof3 · 09/04/2009 19:54

used my bebe pod for a good 6m as both my youngest were late sitters/crawlers movers basically!!! (and no they weren't sat in the bebe pod all day!! )

ladylush · 09/04/2009 19:56

Hi SK Thanks Yes, I'm after a pram that converts to a pushchair later (I've got a maclaren buggy already - but wanted a heavier, sturdier pushchair whilst lo still v small). Yes, something like a M+P pramette or Luna. Had a look at the pramette today in the M+P store but when I pressed the mattress with my hand I could feel the base of the pram and it seemed like it would be uncomfortable for a baby. The shop assistant said you can buy a different mattress but why should you have to. The luna looks nice but is quite narrow. I'm not sure if it would be ok for a fat baby Ds was long and thin but who knows what this one will be like

pebbles79 · 09/04/2009 19:56

I think because my DD is so skinny she wasn't wedged into it as much as other babies so once she was mobile she could get out of it easily.

ladylush · 09/04/2009 19:56

Btw, ds so wants bunk beds. I bet your girls will love them

coolkat · 09/04/2009 19:58

Pram experts can I ask you a question.

I currently have a Britax Vigour which I like but seat unit seems small, hood a bit crap. Like the air tyres. DD is 5 months.

I am thinking of getting different pram to keep in the car, I like the Silver Cross Linear as its rear facing or would you just get a Maclaren XT.

Oh and what's best Maclaren XT or XLR.

Thanks in advance.
Coolkat.

mamadiva · 09/04/2009 20:28

Hi Coolkat,

The silver Cross linear is not a car pram, it's lovely but massive! My friend has one and she hates folding it because you have to take the seat off.

I'd say it's fine for walking if you know you're not going to have to fold it otherwise you do not want to have to be taking LO out of pram, putting her in car seat then taking a pram apart in the pissin rain not fun .

If it's just for walking and no folding go for it because it is gorgeous and quite spacious, my friend's DD is 2 and she's just grown out of it but still not too bad for a rear facer.

For in the car I'd say get a Maclaren because they are good I have had an XT for the past 2 months and I do like it but DS is almost 3 and quite big so he does'nt look that comfy in it but if he was younger I'd love it, I walk all the time and I don't think it's particularly great for that TBH but i car defo, I think XLR is much and such the same really just a little wider and with accessories, it may be more expensive to start but better value in the long run when you consider footmuff and liner.

OP posts:
mamadiva · 09/04/2009 20:33

Ooh bargain Linear

OP posts:
coolkat · 09/04/2009 20:41

Thanks Mama,

I was wondering whether you had to take the seat unit off to fold!

I am watching one on ebay in blossom BIN £95.00 Only half hour away! We do a lot of walking when my hips are good. I know I really need an XT or XLR but I keep looking at the Linear. How is it over rougher terrain? Is it all rattely?

I promised when I had DD2 that I would just have the one pram. I had 5 with DD1. I think I may have lied!

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/04/2009 20:42

Hellooo.

Love all the sweet babies. >

Right should I sell my volo-nice, new, great colours, DD is 2.7yrs so might not need buggy for long etc. and get a second hand xt or classic?

Hmmmmm. DP of course will think I am mad.

I am not certain because I like the newness of volo, it doesn't rattle, brakes easy to work, no rust.....

I had a Classic and DP didn't like the rattles. I didn't need all the headhuggers and aprons but could sell them. Ditto a comfort pack.

nicolamumof3 · 09/04/2009 20:46

oh dunoon, i would have bought your damn volo a week ago lol!!!

Right XLR is way heavier and bigger than XT. i preferred my XT basically.

FlyMeToDunoon · 09/04/2009 20:53

I know I know.
Still not certain. My back feels better but then I haven't pushed volo for a while.

Disenchantegg3 · 09/04/2009 20:53

how tall are you dunoon?
