Someone PLEASE help me in a search for a white single bed for my daughter - I am going bananas

Hi - someone please help. I did post on here about a white bed in argos but my DH now says he does n't like it. I am after a white single bed (maybe shaker style) that does n't cost the earth and ideally which as underbed drawes with it or you can buy. I did find a bed at the weekend but the height menat there would be a 3 inch gap between the drawers and the bed - or does anyone think this is ok? We do not want to spend a a huge amount of money on this but it does n't have to be the cheapest either. Thanks very much

My dd has just got a John Lewis Broadway bed in white with a matching truckle underneath. We are very pleased with the quality (but with the mattress, truckle, and truckle mattress it was very expensive). I think you get what you pay for I'm afraid.

Six months down the line, the side bars on our John Lewis Broadway bed have collapsed at the point where the bed is screwed together

I have phoned John Lewis and they said they will sort it out. I cannot believe that my dd's bed has broken after such a short time. No one has been jumping on it, but part of the side bars disintegrated when my dd sat down on the bed. The headboard and footboard are made of solid beech, but the side of the bed is constructed from a veneer which must not be of a good quality. Very poor John Lewis.
