you'll have to prepare the frame first. you could try a local bodyshop

you know the one man band type. they might like a change from cars. might do it cheaply and properly for you. and will get any colour you want

MIL is into dye stuff and printing, she did it as a job in a factory, so hopefully we could create a work of art bewtween us. If not, the parts would be usefull anyway. Or she can have it for walking the dog with Tom. Knowing my luck, the lady has sold it, lol. Off out all day soon as well.

The frame is fine, Dh and me spent the day respraying the black parts. Its the fabrics that are the problem..

Sorry dis, i've been thinking about it all night, lol. My main reason for getting it is for the basket anyway. Madness, but not having one is doing my head in. Then as the covers are like that, I won't feel bad for ruining a perfectly good buggy. I could always swap frames/covers with mine.

to prepare the frame it has to be "rubbed down" as my brother calls it (he's got a bodyshop). which basically involves sanding it to remove old paint and then it leaves it porous so the paint sticks to it.

this should stop it rusting/flaking in a yr or so.

you will also need to put a protective layer on it to stop salt/grit/mud/water from damaging your paintwork.

onemanband types love these kind of things with weird objects. might take them a couple of weeks as they will do it in spare time as a hobby if you want it cheap. if you want it done as proper "job" in couple of day then you'll get charged working hourly rate.

I've currently got an Infinity with 3 sets of covers, lol and I'm waiting on a new hood and footmuff coming from Snunkie! I also had a Luna. Recently sold a Moon Kiss and my beloved Powertwin but thankfully it means I can now concentrate on singles as my DS2 is happily using the buggy board!

I bought it off a mumsnetter and she seems so lovely, and shes a regular and I really don't think that she would be a scammer but my husband didn't want me to do it that way and now hes going on at me and making me panick! Im sure theres a reason, but he keeps going on at me saying Im daft for doing it!

She gave me a phone number, just rang it and its not a phone number - not recognised.

Shes posted on this thread, so just hoping she will see this and email me so my DH will stop going on at me!! And put his mind at rest!

disenchanted, dont worry, i think its normal to worry when you spend loads money, once i posted pram out, and realised i havent been paid. im talking about 300pounds. i think she is geniune.
