Morning.
Oh lord Nicola its the worst isn't it. Luckily DD3 only threw up majorly the once and [touch wood] is ok now.
Tell me about the swift-whats different and why do you prefer it over old one?
Heather e-mailed and my MB not suitable for hood so am getting a ladybird liner instead

Its smaller so will fit in my car better lol..

no seriously, its not as bad as the reviews have been, its the same size heightwise, but is narrower. Ds2 fits lovely in it but I think if you have a large child then you will find it too tight. pics here

shatteredmumof5 · 23/02/2009 10:00

SGK.....It looks lush and your little one is too!!!Looks very happy in new mode of transport!!!Do you find it any lighter to lift at all?

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/02/2009 10:01

i didn't read reviews what did they say?
I have a petite 2.5 yr old. Tempted! Is it as light?

OP posts:
SparklyGothKat · 23/02/2009 10:04

its a kilo lighter than the urban so easier for me (i weighed the urban yesterday)
The reviews in NZ and aus. basically said it was rubbish and too small.

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/02/2009 10:07

may I ask roughly what is the cheapest one could find one for?

OP posts:
SparklyGothKat · 23/02/2009 10:08

one site has them for £350 but you have to buy the raincover too at £30 but I got mine from ebay as all my funds were in PP

FlyMeToDunoon · 23/02/2009 10:19

Right I will try and put it out of my mind

nicolamumof3 · 23/02/2009 10:49

nicolamumof3 · 23/02/2009 10:54

no worries dolly it was worth a mention! i might put a thread up lol!

BexieID · 23/02/2009 11:14

NA - the cars are from Poundland. MIL bought loads for Tom and they are really good quality. Some in there are just rubbish, but these are great.

SGK - the Swift looks nice. Does the raincover fit on like the urban? Thats a requirement for me the raincover. Must cover Tom fully and not be able to be kicked off! Thats why I love the urban so much!

SparklyGothKat · 23/02/2009 11:41

yes bexie its does. Just got back from test drive and its lovely, so light and easy to push.. defo a keeper..

DivamakesKimchi · 23/02/2009 11:53

SGK, wow swift photos looks gorgeous, and cute model there, too it does look narrower than urban, probably not for older children, i think its ok upt to 2 years or 2.5. i mean wider mbs used special needs as they have generious seat.
Nicola, if you really really want luna, we have M&P factory outlet here, i can check it for you, if you want you can pay on phone and arrange courier etc... im happy to help.
let me know.

nicolamumof3 · 23/02/2009 12:27

oooh yes please if its factory outlet...

Disenchanted3 · 23/02/2009 17:39

Hello

SGK, Your swift loves fab! am very and your DS is yummy too!

Always wanted a MB, but can't justify it with P&T at the mo - DH will think all 3 wheelers are the same, and need a double at the mo

Nicola have you tried a 'want it now' on ebay?

Just ordered some cutom stuff for Cam from poshbugs! Am sooo excited - cam isn't even here yet! In fact not even paid - am paying Wed1 Lol

I ordered a hood and seat cover in this fabric here, i love it!!

Also buying pink fleeces, the 2008 hot pink ones on Fri

lol

nicolamumof3 · 23/02/2009 17:44

dis, can't work out how to do a 'want it now' on ebay

Ceolas · 23/02/2009 17:48

Can I intrude to ask you ladies opinions on the Phil & Ted's Sport?

I'm going to need a double in a few months and it's the only one that will fit in my teeny boot (after taking off the second seat and the wheels )

nicolamumof3 · 23/02/2009 17:51

p&t is fab, best double i had but it is heavy to lift in/out and folding pita but i never have to do this as don't drive!

ridingjoker · 23/02/2009 17:55

jane powertwin if using for lots of car stuff. quickest and easiest fold of all the double. and fits in the smallest of boots.

Ceolas · 23/02/2009 17:58

I should say riding, it's barely a boot at all. I need all 7 seats in my Zafira so it really is miniscule!

nicolamumof3 · 23/02/2009 18:00

have you tried that p&t fits?

Ceolas · 23/02/2009 18:02

Yes, it just fits. As I say, with the wheels off and jumping back to slam down the boot!

ridingjoker · 23/02/2009 18:03

if you folded the front wheel it might fit. mines fits in my 207 boot along with an xt without removing parcel shelf, or folding the wheel. also easily fits on 1 of the seats if you have any spare space for it.

you definately wont fit a p&t in a zafira.

best go give jane a try somewhere. but somewhere good who can show you how to fold front wheel. ALOT of sales people dont even know it does this

but with a zafira you maybe limited to an umbrella folding buggy tbh.
