I won't bore you with the details but ordered a highchair from TLF a few weeks ago and has not arrived, no response, etc,etc - I'm sure many of you know the score - I wish I had done some reading up on them before I placed an order, but a friend of mine recommended them........
Anyway, not sure if anyone has written to them before, so excuse my naivety if they have, but just posted my complaint with Watchdog on their website. I just wanted to invite any other angry mums to do the same so that we might actually get some sort of action from these cowboys!

a very fmailair saga - you have to email the md if you want a refund any time soon or contact your cc company.

I can't belive they are still trading. This sort of thing seems to have been going on for a few years with them!

They seem to make their money by hanging on to their customer's and not actually ordering the goods Trading Standards have been involved for eons.

Well I have written to "DICK" Bone and also emailed the highchair manufacturer as I read somewhere that if TFL get contacted by them it might give them the willies! Who knows but what have I got to lose. HOW on earth do they keep trading??? I read a response to a complaint from Richard Bone from 3 yrs ago(!) which basically just said that they are human and they get it wrong sometimes - eh, sometimes???? maybe he should Google his own company and see how many people they have got it wrong with!

RB personally called me when I was running a business similar to his, only I didn't put the credit card through until the items were on parcleforces van and on their way to the customer, to give me a mouthful of abuse because he thought I'd stolen an idea.
Anyway I had caller display and wrote down his mobile number and published it on a website unfortunately he changed it quickly but it gave me a little laugh.

aargh - contact Trading Standards in Bedford(I think that is where TLF are) on Monday and they may have a more recent one.

Well after sending an email to the highchair manufacturer - guess what - TLF are sending out my highchair today for delivery tomorrow.......
The manufacturer had emailed them and sent a copy of the email I sent to them.
Why should it have to come to that? It's funny how they can send it out so suddenly now

Bastards aren't they, I do not know why Bugaboo and Stokke supply to them.
BUT I did notice you can now pay via paypal, well if they haven't sent the goods within 14 days you can raise a complaint and paypal will return your money.

I stupidly ordered a Jane buggy system from 2LF, and 30 days on have not received it, nor had any reply to my emails...I also wish I'd read up about them before I'd ordered!!! So best advice please on what I should do now? Does anyone have the MDs email address still? They are meant to be the largest stockists of Jane, is it worth emailing them direct? Baby due in 11 days...really stressed as now have no car seat etc to bring her home and no money to purchase another!!

Too be fair, Jane are a nightmare too so combined I would say you have to order when the line turns blue.
Dawnus, did you pay by credit card ? They can get your money back fairly quickly.

Visa debit card tis crap! Has anyone been successful in getting a refund from 2LF? Thinking i'll prob have to beg, borrow and steal to buy one elsewhere! Obviously don't wanna end up with 2 tho.....

Is it with the Nat West, they are pretty helpful, hell even if it isn't go to your branch with bump on display and see if the manager can help at all.

I am in similar position, no response to e-mails, baby due in 12 days and no car seat /stroller. Delivery window expires tomorrow. Spoke to consumer expert yesterday and they are in breach of contract if fail to deliver within the 30 days, and fail to re-negotiate a a new delivery window I am entitled to refund as they have broken the contract. But judging from what I've just read I'm not very hopeful! Very disappointed to have had such awful customer service. Never use them again.

Well some good news at last - the highchair turned up today - wayhay!!! So I'm not sure if it was the fact that I wrote to the manufacturer, but seems like a bit of a coincedence.....ema100 and dawnus - maybe you should try it - can't guarantee, but it worked pretty quickly for me!

Barclays visa debit, they want the emails etc sent to them so that they can look in to it and see if they can retrieve the money! Running out of time with only 8 days to go.
Ema100 it looks as though our travel systems will never arrive from TLF...if you should have a breakthrough tho, please let me know.
Does anyone have any experience with Precious Little One? They've said delivery is 7-14 days on buggys...and at least they've got someone you can speak to at the end of the phone...unlike TLF!!!!

I think some one mentioned PLO in a similar light recently. Glasgow pram centre, John Lewis and Kiddicare are more often recommended

I had a saga with TLF. I took them to court using HMCS Money Claim Online It was really straightforward and we got our money back in a few weeks, including costs and interest. I also wrote to Bugaboo to tell them that I didn't think they should link to TLF on their website. They still do though, last time I looked. TLF are a bunch of crooks.
