Hello
mrsseanbean I heven't had a problem with my slalom brake. Can't advise, sorry.
4andnotout wow that was quick! Glad you like it.
sparklygothkat did you get skirt yet?

We are having a slow day so far but after lunch I have to shop for a birthday present, wrap birthday present and deliver DD2 to birthday party. DP away for the day. Haggis tonight!

onadietcokebreak · 24/01/2009 12:10

Boots have some Maclaren quest mod in various colours reduced to around the £86 mark....plus double advantage points!

elmoandella · 24/01/2009 12:55

techno. is your large walking buggy needing fixed or swivel wheels?? if your happy with fixed and it's for walking and you have somewhere to store it then the silver cross sleepover would be good for you and you can pick them up 2nd hand really cheap. some of those collection only ones are going for only £25!!! the seat is big enough for you to fit the lo on. and then a toddler can either climb in the seat beside them (you extend the bumper bar and they sit on the raised footrest) or get a buggy board.

i looooved mine for walking the cycle path with either 1 or 2 lo's. and the shopping basket is huuuuuuuuge. great if your nipping to nearby shop or need to store buggy board out of your way.

but only any good if you want fixed wheels. you can get the linear chassis with swivel wheels for the sleepover unit. but it's not got the great 4 way independant suspension of the classic chassis for bumpy ground

horsemadgal · 24/01/2009 13:01

mrsseanbean, I know there have been problems with Nomad's foot brakes sticking so assume is the same problem with Slalom as I'm sure the brakes are the same. It's like the brake bar has dropped so is rubbing against wheel I believe???

Where did you buy? I'm sure a pram shop or bike shop could fix.

pushchair · 24/01/2009 13:07

I used to put or rather dd2 would climb into the shopping basket on my old M&P. It was great.

mrsseanbean · 24/01/2009 13:09

Yes horsemadgal - that's exactly what is happening! Will ask at pram shop. Thanks :}

Hopi · 24/01/2009 13:43

Woo-hooooooo! Managed to get the Maclaren for £110.18 Yay for voucher codes and quidco It should be here on Monday and I am very excited

elmoandella · 24/01/2009 13:51

did you get the pea one?

Hopi · 24/01/2009 13:56

Oh yes Hope it is as lovely as it looks when it arrives. I do like funky buggies. So glad you talked me out of the Britax as I would never have seen that one otherwise And actually, it wasn't too much more in the end either!

elmoandella · 24/01/2009 14:06

oh i hope its the new material of the black xt i've just got. much better quality then alot of other ones.

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 24/01/2009 14:16

You lot are infecting me - I was dreaming of Dazzles all night

sal1309 · 24/01/2009 15:05

hi all

well after getting my electric bill (£300) today gecko is deffo up for sale along with my xlr and possibly the quest thats at my mums.

im having a mad clearout now lol

mrsbean i havent had any problems with my break sticking on my slalom (or my old one) althoug sometimes i do find if you dont push it back up enough then it kind of catches while your walking. ALso jane nest, buggysnuggles and even mothercare footmuffs seem to fit it ok

carrielou2007 · 24/01/2009 15:40

Make sure you give us pics Hopi when you get it!!

Have just taken the dazzle out for long long walk and I still really love it. I think it must be very similar to the xt (which still doesn't help as still can't decide) easy to push, sort of glides along, roomy, super stylish...what to do.

I bought a clipper-net shopping basket from Boots which think would sort out the raincover storage issue.

nicolamumof3 · 24/01/2009 15:41

afternoon all, just had stressful episode in asdas with v.overtired luka as we've been out all day he's missed his sleep woops. not good that boy loves his routine.

he's in bed now waiting for inlaws to descend for a week. joyous.

god its cold.

sal1309 · 24/01/2009 15:48

how much do you think i will get for an ego classic? any ideas?

carrielou2007 · 24/01/2009 16:22

Anyone after a grey xt there is a bargain one on ebay buy it now 60 and looks nice - Kent or 10 posted, I nearly hit buy it now then thought fgs just order the ruddy black one woman!!!1

claret1980 · 24/01/2009 16:27

Afternoon All!
Been to take dd to a party today, managed to survive that.

I'm watching a buzz on ebay, the handle height doesn't adjust and the wheel at front doesn't lock. Do you think that these problems can be fixed? It is at £31 at mo with 4 hours or so to go. Do you think it will go for much more?

horsemadgal · 24/01/2009 16:46

Sal, is it an Ergo babysling you are selling?
Might be interested.

sal1309 · 24/01/2009 16:59

yes horsemadgal its the ergo carrier lol its at my mums though so cant do pics im afraid.

claret quinny charge £35 for repairs i think and you could get a new front wheel im sure.

Disenchanted3 · 24/01/2009 17:00

Dunno if I should bu that kent maclaren.

just wondering about the reflective trim, whether its worn or not.

claret1980 · 24/01/2009 17:18

I suppose it wouldn't be a problem if the handle didn't need adjusting. Would ahve to get a dreami carrycot, have seen one on Babyvalue.

If I do buy, will have to get rid of Techno XT. Do you think I would get £90 for my 2007 techno with raincover & comfort pack? Have a 2008 footmuff as well.

MrsMagooo · 24/01/2009 17:32

Evening all,

Claret new front wheels are about £35 from Dorel, or you can could get a Buzz 4 Wheel for £43 delivered from them too.

Nicola did you go for the XT in the end?

Elmo added some photo of Kaiser for you to other thread

I've decided to try & get a Skate off eBay - a few have gone for around £200-£250 so if I could one for that price wouldn't need to sell my Buzz

SparklyGothKat · 24/01/2009 17:49

does anyone want my Toro??

nicolamumof3 · 24/01/2009 17:51

disenchanted i think that maclaren is a good buy the reflective trim does wear with washing its just how they go. i would sell your mac if you don't like and keep the footmuff they are really nice. i want a black one now!

mrs.m i have ordered my black xt it comes on monday was dispatched yday from kiddicare.

thats a good idea about the skate.

im just deciding on the bag mrs.m
