Trousers for a very, very thin 2yo

I'm really struggling to find any trousers that ds1 (2.4) can wear and which will stay up. At the moment he's living in shorts, but they're not ideal for winter.

Have tried, and ruled out, M&S, JoJoMamanBebe, and John Lewis. Their sizes 12-18 months are too small, but 18-24 months are too big and fall down (even with the waistband adjusted).

Does anyone else make unusually narrow waisted trousers?

Glad I'm not the only one with that problem MuffinMclay. I went on google and search for children belts and braces.
Hold them up has adjustable stretch belts which goes as little as 15 inches but you can also find braces there.
Check it out here is the link

I found some really smart stretch belts in Zara Baby for my daughter who is also a skinny little thing.

Zara's boys trousers tend not to be too big on the waist and usually have the adjustable waist. My ds will be 3 in Oct and really needs a 3-4 for the length but all the ones I've tried so far have been way too big on the waist and the bum. Good Luck!

try a snake belt, you can get them on the internet, just google it. or get ones with adjustable waists. have a search on eBay? I think the fit varies even with brands - some Next stuff I have found to be too big, some perfect...

Sorry if repeating, but have you tried Vertbaudet?dd is a skinny minie and theirclothes are a good fit.

Wow Gap trousers too big? How skinny is he??! My DS is skinny, at 21 months can easily fit in 6 9 bottoms, if not 3 6 round the waist!! But the Gap ones are ok with adjustable waist, just too long! Boden I found is fab as they have a working drawstring waist which is the best. My favourite so far. My 13 year old niece is so skinny she looks like her tummy has been ironed flat! She can only wear trousers from Gap (don't think she's ever had Boden) but she needs the long and lean fit.
