Toddler Boys Pjamas - NOT TV themed, where can I find them?

This is ridiculous, I have googled everything I can think of, gone to every website I can think of and can't find some fun funky non-TV themed pjamas for DS. They just don't seem to exist unless I want to spend £25 for a white old fashioned pair. I like the soft jersey style and am looking for long sleeves and trousers not t-shirt & shorts so maybe I am looking at the wrong time of year but DS really needs some now following major growth spurt! Any ideas on sites I can try? He has some lovely stripey bottoms with a blue top with a red bus which we got from mothercare - the same sort of thing but bigger is what I'm looking for and failing at!

Pricey, but Boden ones are quite nice for boys.

TracyK · 10/07/2008 20:31

I got a fantastic pair from ebay - Tyrell Katz- had cartoony dinosaurs all over them - and they lasted ages for me and I've passed them on again to a friend.

differentID · 10/07/2008 20:31

what size does he wear?

KaySamuels · 10/07/2008 20:32

PUMPKIN PATCH

budget winter pjs for ds are from primark, button down flannel ones - very cute

BirdyArms · 10/07/2008 20:32

I bought some in the White Company sale last week. They have at least one long sleeved style, cotton checked but old fashioned buttons etc, may have jersey ones though.

John Lewis sometimes have nice ones and don't think they are particularly expensive.

My mum always sends us lovely pj's from Carter's - like these. I think she buys them cheap in Target

MuffinMclay · 10/07/2008 20:35

White Company? Ds1 has these and they are lovely.

Also these. Ds1 looks scrummy in them, although I'm biased.

Weegle · 10/07/2008 20:35

wow - thanks everyone, off to look at the links now. I think I need to get him size 3-4 (he's only just turned 2!)

la redoute

Elloeise · 10/07/2008 20:37

I get them from

Asda (numbers and letters on)

Tesco's (animal band)

and some lovely light weight (i.e spring cool summer with long sleeves) ones from Instore which ds (3) loves with a fire engin on.

TracyK · 10/07/2008 20:37

I always get my ds 1 or 2 sizes up - nothing worse than tight pjs. I find White Co are quite small made anyway.

MuffinMclay · 10/07/2008 20:45

Agree White Co are small. My ds1 is in the right size with their stuff (2-3 years) but is still in 12-18month or 18-24 month with everyone else's stuff.

Weegle · 10/07/2008 20:50

excellent, I'm making progress!

There's only one Next set which has long sleeves and it's in a pack with a short sleeved one so no good (DS never keeps duvet on and so gets cold even in summer).

La Redoute are looking good.

I don't have a Tesco which sells clothes nearby and they don't seem to sell them online. Pumpkin Patch's sale means their site is a pain to navigate at the moment.

TracyK - the Tyrell Katz one, I've found some of the Dino ones, they say age 1-3, am a bit concerned that would be small? He's about 98cm tall but quite slim.

Thanks so much, this is so much more positive!

bubblagirl · 10/07/2008 20:50

bought

TracyK · 10/07/2008 20:52

hmm - I think they might be too small. I got my ds 3-4yo (I think) when he was 2.5 - but they were quite big. did you find them on ebay? or if just a web site - you could return them?

TracyK · 10/07/2008 20:53

I got quite a few pairs of pjs from ebay - ones with dumper trucks and stuff on them - for pennies.
