Just got one in blue, thanks to a very kind MNer who posted about the reduction in M'care.

She said I need to buy some fleecey things? Or something - a hood maybe? I don't know what to get and where to get it cheaply, so any hints kindly appreciated!

TIA

Oh shoot yes! I did it by paypal as well!

No card details then and paypal buyer protection.

You lot are much cleverer than me.

Tell me orange and bright blue won't be hideous

OP posts:
SparklyGothKat · 19/06/2008 19:37

If it does, just sell them on ebay lol

NorthernLurker · 19/06/2008 20:25

Orange and blue will be lovely. I really like my pink and blue. I think if the retailer makes an 'obvious' mistake - like tesco selling tvs for 1.99 then they can correct it but I don't think the £25 price falls into that bracket and it sounds like you should be ok with paypal anyway. Enjoy your bug

SparklyGothKat · 19/06/2008 22:05

what about red and blue??

NorthernLurker · 19/06/2008 22:39

I like red and blue too - it makes a change from all the sand and black or all red bugs you see -though they are lovely too of course!

SparklyGothKat · 19/06/2008 23:40

someone brought the red fleece [sulk] so I brought sand ones..

Flllight · 20/06/2008 06:43

Yes I like the sand - that would have been my first choice but the sand was all full price in our shop. Just pink reduced..

You're going to have a beautiful pram SGK!

Now what's the betting they email us all today saying, 'sorry, we made a mistake, you can't have it!!'

OP posts:
Flllight · 20/06/2008 06:50

Actually not sure if I have ordered orange fleece or canvas - it said on the drop down, 'Orange fleece 74.95, orange 44.95' but on the bcheckout it said fleece offer, so I am baffled. I like canvas actually so no worries either way!

OP posts:
Flllight · 20/06/2008 08:23

Girls...have you taken yours out yet SGK?

I love the way it feels in the kitchen, but when the baby is in it, it doesn't feel terribly...strong?

Like if you try and go up a kerb, it might break, sort of feeling. I suppose I am used to an effing great swedish 4x4 Emmaljunga, the Bug is a bit diddy

Seriously is it strong enough? Will I knacker it within a week? If so I might ebay it before I take it out...

misdee · 20/06/2008 09:31

i used mine for 9months solid with a 18month old till gone two. it never broke. have you adjusted the suspension over the front wheels so it isnt too bouncey?

also the handle is meant to move a bit as well.

am but i have a denim one for bubs.

Flllight · 20/06/2008 09:36

That's good to know
Thanks Misdee, do you like the denim? I am that I can't use the carrycot! Might ebay that separately actually.

M'care said don't use it till they have rung back about the foam. So it will have to wait for its trial run! Arghh

OP posts:
Flllight · 20/06/2008 09:37

Just going to do the suspension thingy now.

missblythe · 20/06/2008 09:41

Flllight, it's heaven in a pram, get out on the pavement, girl.

Have had mine for 26 months now, used nearly every day, and for first year I was a non-driver so it really put the miles in.

Sill in perfect nick, still wouldn't consider having anything else.

misdee · 20/06/2008 09:43

mine isnt here yet. its a second hand one from a friend. its denim bases and fabrics.

Flllight · 20/06/2008 09:47

I can't wait to try it hearing that!!

Hope you like yours Misdee!

have been to the shops in mine (well not me, Callum!!lol) and its a dream to push, its light, and goes up and down knebs so smoothly. I managed to get the Sand covers in ebay for £45 and it also had 2 little bags with it too.

Flllight · 20/06/2008 14:07

Ooh did you? £45 is good, I love the sand ones...I like the grey seats too, there's one on ebay atm, I might be tempted but really shouldn't! Grey and sand is beautiful.

I just got my 'order dispatched' email, am trying not to be complacent...

Flllight · 20/06/2008 15:25

Eek!! you know I rang M'care about the cut in the foam? Well they have contacted Bugaboo who are sending me a new frame and it is the new style one

I feel really guilty now!

OP posts:
NorthernLurker · 20/06/2008 16:09

don't feel guilty - you paid for it and it's not perfect so you should get a replacement part! Well done you! This is another aspect of the Bug which I think is excellent - you really do get after sales service as well.

Pinkjenny · 20/06/2008 16:12

Aftercare service at Bugaboo is fantastic. But the parasol is crap IMO. Buy the UV sunshade instead.

Although dd hates her Bug Cam, I have to say.

SparklyGothKat · 20/06/2008 16:16

well done Fllight, don;t feel guilty. You could sell that frame for £100 and then you got a Bug for £177 lol!!

Been to the school with mine today, all the other mums are like 'another pushchair' but I did sell loads to get the bug. another mum had a push and really liked it

SparklyGothKat · 20/06/2008 16:45

just got my dispatch email too.... i hope they turn up, I might buy some more to sell on ebay

Flllight · 20/06/2008 17:03

Aw thanks gals

I think I have to give back the other frame, but anyway..still not bad!

Pinkjenny, thanks - I ordered the sunshade thing earlier, it looks really useful. I hate parasols! They never stay in the right place do they?

Btw why does she hate it - do you know?

OP posts:
Flllight · 20/06/2008 17:06

SGK I got that a lot last term. I only know a few people but the first thing they say is 'Ooh a new buggy!' This is the first one I've bought in a while though, have been using the ones we've got. I'm getting very fed up of the heavy pram though (the Emmal) as although it's built like a tank, it is heavy to push and doesn't swivel at all.

Swivel is so important with bigger kids isn't it - don't you start feeling guilty now, try to ignore any comments, it's totally your choice what you like to buy or us for your children.

It's not like you laid out £600 anyway, now is it!

Well done for selling the others too - I struggle with that bit
