Now I’m curious. As I actually like them. I prefer slightly bigger bag because I carry more stuff What do all these really rude posters consider an actual nice bag? What is a classy bag up to this price point. It’s like the Mitchell and Webb avacado bath sketch ( now showing my Y2K credentials lol)

If you think an avocado bathroom is nice you are not a person to be taking style tips from.

I'm not a person to be taking style tips from either because the most I would ever spend on a bag is £25. But if you can remove that hideous goldie lookin chain from the first bag then I think it's quite nice. I definitely wouldn't spend £225 on the other 'imitation leather' one though.

MrsSkylerWhite · 20/10/2025 11:50

Just rather dated.

Riverswims · 20/10/2025 11:51

yes and uncomfortable chain straps

Thanks for that giggle. I’d not seen it before.

it’s just horses for courses isn’t it. I like a solid bag, not a droopy one. I’m not fashionable so I can’t tell you specifically why but I don’t like these ones.

for me it’s not about price - I wouldn’t pay anything for them but I am happy with many £10/£25/£100 bags.

Feel free to say you don’t like them. It’s just how it is.

Thats a horrible classist word that is used far too frequently on here.

The bags aren't my taste PP but buy what you like! I can't imagine you are ever going to agree on what is stylish with your own daughter.

GAJLY · 20/10/2025 13:47

My daughter wants the first one on the left! She's not chavy one bit! No sports logos and branded clothes here!

Nitgel · 20/10/2025 13:55

Michael.kors bags are definitely chavvy

Thanks. Luckily, there’s more to me than my bags.

I also said OPs examples weren’t chavy.

These are the ultimate chav bags!

I don't think anything that Coach makes would be classed as Chavvy. They're really well made, quality bags.

The only thing I can think of is that people are associating them with market stalls because the market has been flooded with replicas recently.

GinnBitters · 20/10/2025 14:18

Most Coach bags have chains or straps that are detachable.

Just saying.

How can something still for sale, mainstream, be dated?

GinnBitters · 20/10/2025 14:20

I like the Juliet bag on the left and looked at it for myself in brown but decided it wasn't quite big enough.
I'm sure the chain is detachable.

Hi, I'm a chav.

Yes.

faffadoodledo · 20/10/2025 07:47

just checked these. Very nice. But although designed in the UK they're made in Spain. Shame. I do love a proper British brand

Last year, only 172k handbags were manufactured in the UK. Radley London bags are designed here but made in India. Even Mulberry, with its two UK factories, only makes 50% of its bags in the UK. So 'proper' British handbags in a desired style might be a bit hard to find. 🤔

faffadoodledo · 21/10/2025 11:58

@botheredandbewilderedagain that doesn't surprise me. I suppose it annoys me that so many brands purport to be British by saying 'designed in Britain' when that's barely the case

Iwantamarshmallowman · 21/10/2025 12:12

I like the coach one . I recently brough a
Jucy Couture bag its the most chavy thing ever but i like it so screw what anyone else thinks.
