Where can I buy a waterproof mattress cover from, that is fitted (single bed) and has a towelling or other soft fabric on the top?

Thank you.

Have looked everywhere I can think of and I am fed up!

john lewis
woolworths
I think boots do them too

MadBadandDangeroustoKnow · 02/06/2008 17:06

I got one exactly like this from John Lewis, but it was about 5-6 years ago.

cece · 02/06/2008 17:07

They don't have them on their website (John Lewis) or at least I oculdn't find them. Perhaps I'll have to find a day to visit one.

Boots only have them with just a plastic finish. DS gets so sweaty anyway I want one with a fabric topping to it.

Got one in John Lewis Reading less than a year ago (had to ask though, they seemed to have hidden them).

Clayhead · 02/06/2008 18:14

Another vote for Hippychick

cece · 02/06/2008 21:14

Thanks the hippychick one looks perfect if a tad on the expensive side. But seems to be th eonly one I can find {sigh}

I just bought two from Littlewoods Direct. Went on the bed tonight so I can't vouch for how good they are - but they're soft and waterproof.

cece · 02/06/2008 21:18

Ohh surfermum could you report back? The hippychick one looks lovely but is over £25 with postage!

The White Company - jersey on top, vg quality. Lots of 10% off codes floating around MN.

Surfermum · 02/06/2008 21:26

Will do!

I needed some, but ordered them from there to make up an order to over £60 - it meant I could get dsd a dress she wanted that was £45 for only £18.50 as I had a £30 off code!

Here's the link

BirdyArms · 02/06/2008 21:33

I bought one from John Lewis a couple of months ago. I think it was maybe £20 or £25 so the hippychick one is maybe not so ridiculous.

lackaDAISYcal · 02/06/2008 21:41

boots do a waterproof fitted sheet, that has a separate jersey layer on top of the waterproof bit. It's lovely and soft.

Also found this from Blooming Marvellous.

We have a couple of small square washable matress pads that we got in Boots as well which are great for travelling. I think they might do a full size one that has wings to tuck in either side.

Dunelm Mill...7.99

frisbyrat · 02/06/2008 22:01

A bit cheaper

Milliways · 02/06/2008 22:03

Ours was John Lewis 10 years ago - and it is still in excellant condition!

changer22 · 02/06/2008 22:12

It's not fitted but I got a fab mattress protector from the nappy lady. Various sizes and really very good. We take them on holiday with us just in case...

VoluptuaGoodshag · 02/06/2008 22:15

Got all three of mine off Ebay

Surfermum · 06/06/2008 10:22

Ok cece, dd seems to have subconsciously realised that she was the subject of some market research and has had a couple of wet beds!

Mattress protectors have been great did what they said on the tin and washed really easily. The only problem has been that I am a complete muppet and put it in the tumble drier . I think it survived but thank goodness we have two.

So overall am v pleased with them.

Wilkinsons. Use with shiny side down, not like meas it shreds and is absolutely useless then. I think they are about £4.00
