Pyjamas for 14 year old who is almost 5f9 help

I was looking for some comfortable cheapish PJ's. But I can't find ANY other than Long tall sally which are over £30! She's quite young for her age so doesn't want anything low cut, sexy, tight. All about comfort. Flannel pyjamas would be great maybe? ASOS and Boohoo don't have anything much. Next is expensive. Any other suggestions?

tescos in the womens department?
Or anywhere in the womens section tbh, just said Tesco’s because they’ll maybe be in budget. Ds is 13 and I’ve already had to start buying him small mens clothes. And sometimes medium. The waists on them are ridiculous but he’s just so bloody tall. Think dds were around this age too when we started buying adult clothes for them.

Have you looked in the Clearance site on Next (look for tab on right hand side on website). Sizes can vary from day to day, so it’s worth checking back. Also, look fur mens pj’s as well as women’s.

Primark Boys.

TarantinoIsAMisogynist · 22/11/2024 15:51

There are plenty of women who are 5'9" and taller (I'm one of them), and flannel pyjamas aren't uncommon, so surely any adult pyjamas would be fine? (E.g. from Primark, Tesco/Sainsburies etc.)

The average woman doesn't wear revealing/sexy pyjamas every night, so just because something is in the adult department there's no reason to think it would be inappropriate.

At 14, they will be transitioning to wearing adult clothes around about now, anyway.

I got my 14 yr old son a lovely pair from Tesco Mens dept. They are green checked bottoms and a plain green top. They're really cosy! He's 6ft and skinny and a size small fits him really well.

socialdilemmawhattodo · 22/11/2024 16:07

Oddballs do pj's. For girls, women as well as boys and men's. Great fun patterns.

RB68 · 22/11/2024 16:08

measure her and see where she sits on the adult sizes - my 5 ft 8 daughter we used to buy size 6 from around age 14

purpleme12 · 22/11/2024 16:09

Primark?

New look?

Zampa · 22/11/2024 16:10

I'm 5ft9 and have great pyjamas from John Lewis, Cyberjammies, Hush, Cos and Jigsaw.

Noodlesnotstrudels · 22/11/2024 16:11

Next do a small but lovely cotton "tall" pj range. Nicer quality than LTS in my opinion.

TheFlis · 22/11/2024 16:11

I’ve bought my tall, very slim SIL some lovely ones from Tu for Christmas and they look like they should fit perfectly.

MiddleAgedDread · 22/11/2024 16:14

On the M&S website it tells you how tall their models are and what size they're wearing. They're all 5ft 9 or 5ft 10 and the PJs are plenty long enough on them.

cannaethink · 22/11/2024 16:15

I’m just under 5’9 and have never bought ‘tall’ pjs. I just get them from Primark or supermarkets. I noticed Primark have some nice flannel sets in yesterday.

TarantinoIsAMisogynist · 22/11/2024 16:43

These days, 5'9" isn't tall enough to need to buy from the tall ranges.

It used to be, but not any more.

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 22/11/2024 16:44

I'm 5'9" and don't have to buy special tall pjs. Just from ASOS would probably be fine.

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 22/11/2024 16:45

ASOS do tall pyjamas.

I am 5 foot 9 and have loads of pyjamas from primark. Long sleeved long legged. I don't think 5 foot 9 is that tall?!

TheChosenTwo · 22/11/2024 17:04

I think 5’9 is pretty tall! I know very very few women that tall. I’m 5’7 and sometimes need to get the extra long leg in some bottoms, I have disproportionately long legs compared to my torso so although I’m not really tall I do need long length in some things.

RubertRoo · 22/11/2024 17:11

I am 6ft tall and always get Next or M&S pyjamas. They both do long/tall ones.

It is tall, but it's not tall enough to need to shop in special shops.

Like I say, I'm a little over 5'9", and I shop in the usual places. I don't have disproportionately long legs though - if anything I am longer in the body.

Thank you but they're too short sadly. She needs specifically tall womens clothing. Her legs are super long! She has worn women's clothing since she was 12. None of the supermarkets seem to do clothes for taller people that I can see :(

DD is 5ft10, next and supermarket ones always seem to shrink. Primark soft cotton ones always seem to fit. Black leggings and t-shirt / vest / long sleeve t-shirt are also a good option with boot slippers from Bedroom Athletics

You don't think 5 f 9..... almost 6 ft is tall for a 14 year old? Long length in trousers is only 31 inches. Her legs are 33 when I last checked. Average height of a grown woman is 5 f 5 in the UK. So yes she is definitely tall for her age. Otherwise a word is needed between her ankles and the end of her trousers 😂

Edited

She's actually just shy of 5ft10. Almost 6ft. My brain isn't braining. I'll have a look next time I visit. Wish we could order online from them. I might see if there is anything on eBay tonight thank you
