Has anyone used Taylor and Sons clothing website. I keep getting links for clothing on my Instagram. I like some of the dresses but I'm reluctant to order as I think they are outside UK (prob China). My gut reaction is they are a scam do looking to see if anyone has experience?

I ordered a dress last week and when I’ve looked up shipment just now it’s saying China 🤦‍♀️ - can’t believe I’ve fallen for it! Their website is so clever! 20 year’s anniversary but there’s no shop in London by that name. I think they’ve photo shopped it all. So reckon I’ve just been ripped off by £40 - dress was clearly too cheap for the quality of it. If it does ever arrive I can guarantee it won’t look like the photo lol!

I thought so - I'd be interested to hear what it's like if it does arrive 🤷‍♀️
As you say I think they photoshopped the pics. I was really tempted.

Think I’ve been scammed. I returned the dress which looked great on Facebook ( it was beyond horrible) £48.00! Sent back to address supplied in Southall , they are saying it doesn’t exist and haven’t received it . Avoid Avoid !!

I placed an order on the 4th of this month and just had to jump through hoops to find out where it is !

I suspect it's on a plane somewhere so god knows when it will arrive.

I have emailed the customer service so let's see what they say.

I made the mistake of ordering a dress via their Instagram. When it eventually turned up it was cheap, nasty and much smaller than advertised.
They are based in China
To return an item you have to email their customer services who will make various offers varying from telling you you can keep
the item and they’ll refund 15% to offering 60% off a future order. After three requests they sent a returns form. Items have to be returned to China via Royal Mail track and trace within 14 days - cost around £17
I’ll still be slightly better off than taking any of their offers (if I actually get the refund) but regret dealing with them

So I went to post the dress back this morning and was told it would cost £22!!!
Decided to go for the 30% refund option so £10 for a £34 purchase which probably cost a couple of quid to make. Now left with a dress I won’t wear but cost £24
Beware if purchasing from this site - you’re pretty much stuck with the goods unless you want to spend a lot to return

I ordered a jacket again the company looked legit on Instagram this was on 11th July I tried to cancel order as the despatch said it was from.China I've emailed a request to cancel and refund getting usual BS. Going through my bank now.

Don’t do it! I bought 2 dresses. Website looked lovely. They are AWFUL! Really bad quality, material is hideous, no labels, no real shape. Worth about £2 and now going to cost me to return. Avoid!

I ordered a dress from them on 6th July, totally fell for the advertising and believed they were London/UK based.

Dress still not arrived, tracking info is useless. I emailed CS today and got told they are experiencing courier issues but it should be with me by the end of next week.

No idea if it will arrive but suspect if it does the quality will be dreadful given the comments above!!

I've claimed from my bank( I stated to my bank it's a scam trading from China !) for a refund as I emailed back and forth with Taylor & Son still refused a refund they say I'll have pay £17 /£20 to return it! ..I've not received it yet but if it gets to my address I'll refuse delivery ..basically Return to Sender I'm not paying for a return ..

This sort of thing makes me really angry. Thanks to everyone that posted - it might help others to not get taken in. In future I will always check out these sites.

Got my £10 refund almost immediately!! I reckon they use this ploy to make money as very few people will pay out for the return postage to China 😡

Just a update I've refused the parcel this morning my lovely postman updated his device its going back to the warehouse .
I said to him I cancelled the order

Problem is I'm now getting loads of feeds from these type of companies. They look very English and always seem to have the word London in them somewhere - shipping free. Then when you dig deeper it says the returns are to Asia and the buyer is responsible for the return. Absolute con. 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️.

Yes it is a scam. Not even their photos. I am trying to get my money back at the moment.

My dress arrived a few days ago.... like everyone has said, the quality is cheap and nasty.
I would never usually order from a FB site so have learnt my lesson :-(

Still waiting on my dress, I have just emailed them again, although I'm under no illusion that it will make a jot of difference.

I have noticed that as OP says my FB is inundated with "London" based companies selling women's clothing. They must be raking in an absolute fortune. I'm so cross that I fell for this!!

Please please avoid this company at all costs, do not buy from them they are a complete SCAM
orders don’t arrive but they take your money, when you ask for a refund they won’t give one.

Well it arrived! Made of the most horrible, shiny cheap and slippy polyester known to man. Nothing like the soft cotton dress worn in the photos.

Now I will try for a refund.!

Do not use them! Total scam! Comes from China all they have done is very badly copied a genuine item from another site! My dress arrived today it’s awful!! Supposed to be cotton mix but it’s 100% polyester!
I’ll put it down to an expensive lesson!

I've settled for a 30% refund, not ideal but better than nothing and I will spread the word as far and wide as I can not to touch these scammers with a barge pole!

Nothing about this company is genuine and pretty much everything on their website is either highly exaggerated or just a blatant lie. They are a Chinese company pretending to be London Based. Their product is just awful, from material to workmanship to anything else you may look for in a product. If you're lucky enough to eventually receive your order, it's almost a certainty you will want to return it, at which point you will find out that the cost of returning it to China is greater than the cost of the item and you will eventually cut your loss and settle for a 30% refund that will be offered to you. These people are clever because on paper, they are not doing anything wrong!! It's a clever scam that cannot be contested. STAY AWAY
