DOLL'S PRAM FOR A 1YO. It's been done before i know.... but please share your knowledge / tips!

I don't want a pram that a 3 year old would get. I want a toddler one!

Probably a chunky plastic one (although very much like the wooden ones - but probably too similar to our brick trolley idea...). The only chunky plastc one i can find is in argos, but it's a winnie the pooh one, and i'm not a fan of unnecessarily branded toys...

What pram did you get for your 1yo?

£5 stroller type one from ELC with a my first baby annabel doll to go in it. She was happy as larry with them!

StripeyMamaSpanx · 16/01/2008 20:36

This is lovely.

DD just had one fron ELC though.

sophiewd · 16/01/2008 20:37

DD loves her pram from ELC as Bagpuss says.

tassisssss · 16/01/2008 20:39

little tikes used to do a fab chunky plastic one that our toddler group has, ebay have them from time to time, i had been looking for this for dd (had a thread in Nov) but no joy

have you seen the wicker one in letterbox - very cute?

(dd is happiest with ds's blue stroller one from ELC, but I know that's not what you want to hear!)

ja9 · 16/01/2008 20:41

oooh SMS i lkie that one a lot. (and really really love the pram on the same range.... have to keep telling myself 'brick trolley, brick trolley'!!)

we have the blue elc stroller type that ds got when he was about 18mo. really want something a bit more substantial for dd...

tassissss i've seen the wicker one before .. the red one especially is very sweet. think i'm more likely to be tempted by this adorable one

OP posts:
ja9 · 16/01/2008 20:46

otoh maybe i should just get her the pink stroller and dd and ds would look so cute with their matching ones when we go for walks!

Oh its not brick trolley! Its goooorgeous!

As is this and this

tassisssss · 16/01/2008 20:54

twiga's dd has that one ja9 (or one very like it). it is adorable and dd loved playing with it on saturday. I did think she looked like she was quite tall for it already though and i'm not sure the wheels would be great outside?

ja9 · 16/01/2008 21:00

practicalities i know . which is why i was looking for chunky plastic one. surely there is a gap in the market...

ideally baby pram now and then, assuming she's into dollies (which she will be , a proper pram type thing for christmas beofre her 3rd birhtday.!!!! Talk about forward planning

OP posts:
ja9 · 16/01/2008 21:01

is twiga still around on here? not 'bumped' into her in ages?

Bky · 16/01/2008 21:05

DD (16 months) was brought this for Christmas, she seems to like it lots and is just the right height for her.

Bky · 16/01/2008 21:06

Oh sorry just re-read your original post and that is the one you didn't like

SlightlyMadShrek · 16/01/2008 21:07

Hang on a minute I am SMS .

DD3 got a beautiful set from Argos for Christmas. It is a pushchair though. She is 20m so a little bit older.

It is this one. It is a metal frame with fabric seat. Perfect size and comes with lots of extras like a lovely crib & car seat. Good value at £20 too.

DD3 loves it. I love it and I have to thank the lovely ScoobyDoo for finding it for me.

SlightlyMadShrek · 16/01/2008 21:08

The pcs don't do it justice. I can post some RL photos if you are interested?

ja9 · 16/01/2008 21:29

SMS?! how confusing!

thanks for that link. can see that it cld be much prettier in rl tho' wonder if the full set would mean that i couldn't easily justify a whole new set when she was a bit older will def consider it tho'.

OP posts:
SlightlyMadShrek · 16/01/2008 21:35

It is quite a small set, so you would need to consider a new set as she grows.

At £20 it is cheaper than some on this thread.

ja9 · 17/01/2008 21:36

dd took her first steps today [proud mummy emoticon]so will be well up for a little dolls pram by her first birthday at the end of next month

BroccoliSpears · 17/01/2008 21:44

Hmph. I didn't know you could get nice ones. I got dd a horrid bubblegum pink Argos one. She lurrrrrrrves it. It's her best thing ever.

Oh, but, because it was cheap and I don't like it much I don't mind when it gets rammed into walls, dragged over pavements, dropped off the sofa, taken out in the rain, sat in, loaded up, hauled about etc.

ja9 · 17/01/2008 21:57

which one is it broc?

OP posts:
BroccoliSpears · 17/01/2008 22:03

this one. Bit bigger than some of her friends' pushchairs I've noticed.

BroccoliSpears · 17/01/2008 22:04

And well done LO on her first steps

Nemoandthefishes · 17/01/2008 22:05
