GLTC factory shop - all 2/3's off the current catalogue

This shop is fantastic!!! It is in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire in the Tower Centre next door but two to Argos.

More or less the entire current catalogue is in there (not the big furniture) for 2/3's off the original price.

Grobags are £8.50
Bunny alarm clocks are £6.75

They don't take credit cards, they take a cheque with a card or cash.

It is well worth a visit if you're a fan. I've bought the Barbie pink rain outfit for DD. There is loads of ski stuff in there, rain suits, all in ones and the ones with the braces, wellies and all the clothing range from there (Boden style clothing catalogue).

Apparently it is only going to be there until January so grab a bargain.

I just phoned great little trading company to ask them the phone number so I could ring the shop to ask if they had the air-hockey table

she told me they don't have a shop, but now I am confused.

Their warehouse is in Glasgow and she says end of lines or end of season things get put in a catalogue.

Tracey - where are you coming from? Are you going to be coming up or down the A1(M)? I used to work in Hoddesdon so know it quite well.

tracyK - it's in the Clock Tower precinct, which is really just a little area with a few shops in. If you come off teh A10 at hoddesdon, go down to the first big roundabout with a pub on your right and teh start of the Town Centre on your left, go straight over this first roundabout, at the second roundabout go all the way round and come back on yourself and then take the first slip road on the left signposted (I think) Service Bays and Car Park. The underground carpark is immediately on your right, you dont have to pay. Take the lift up to street level and as you come out of the lift GLTC shop is on your right. It doesn't have any sign up though but you cant miss it.

I am wanting a 10 in 1 games table for DS that in catalogue is item G8321 and is £249 but there is no way we can afford that but if it about £80 then we can. or the air hockey table G7688 AT £129

Is it for real or are they fakes are they packed and coded like GLTC?

I really hope so as I was getting really excited.

BUT it is quite a long way away so I would like to ring them first to see if they have them in stock.

Kangamummy, I'm also a huge fan of this shop and have spent a fortune in there since it has been open. Best buy was a castle shelf and fairy castle shelf for ds and dd - in catalogue for £54.99 - I got them at the shop for £20 each!!! Unbelievable. Also bought Samsung pop-up bed for £10!!
New stock nearly every other day - well worth a visit if you're not too far - not open on Sunday's though. Will see if I can find out a phone number next time I'm there.

Yes I've seen them in Cat but can't say that I've seen them in the shop to be honest.

I'm a bit confused now too cos when I spoke to the owner when shop first openend he said GLTC had gone into liquidation and he had their stock so seems strange doesn't it that you spoke to them on the phone - I wonder where he gets his stuff from then. It's definately genuine stuff as all the GLTC boxes are around.

I haven't had a catalogue from them for ages so I presumed he was right when he said the'd gone into liquidation. Is your cat a current one?

Opened about June time I think and apparantly only open until January 05. Doesn't have a website though. It's one of those places that moves into old deserted shops and sells out of cardboard boxes - hand written signs etc and no shop name.

Don't know if its dodgy, as I said, all seems genuine stuff and larger stuff comes in proper GLTC boxes etc. I'd have thought he would not want that all on display if it was dodgy??

It's all the same stuff - not copies. Like the samsonite bed I bought was all in original packaging etc....Seems weird now that I know that company is still going...even more reason to take advantage and buy buy buy until they close down!!
