fuck fuck fuckety fuck fuck--

I have headache now from looking at stupid bloody tandem pushchairs.

Thought we'd got it sorted and we'd seen an American one called a Contours Tandem, going to get it sent over most likely by the lovely nannyk.

Turns out this morning that the sodding thing wont fit in our boot thanks to Jaguars fecking crap shallow boots.

So to plan B which was to get the Graco Quattro Duo.

Guess what, that doesnt fit either!

We havent got Jane or Icandy pear cash to splash out on and I hate the Phil and Teds thing.

So someone please save me from this pit of despair that I am in atm.

DH has even started looking at new cars!!!!

Cosatto Duet Lite? See it here

I really liked mine (selling it now as DD2 too big) and it fitted in our shallow-ish saloon boot.

And it's much nicer than the Graco tandems - I thought they were huge, and very plasticky.

Nbg · 23/09/2007 15:43

Oh we looked at that Sidge but the wheels dont look up to much.

Nice shape to it but have a feeling it will "conk" out on us in a short space of time.

The wheels are better than they look, they have proper tyres. Not great for serious off-roading but fine for everything else.

We've had ours a year, used it A LOT and it still looks virtually new.

My new double is a Out 'n' About Nipper Double which is gorgeous, but it's not a tandem. (Still fits through my front door though).

Oh so they are pnuematic tyres then?

We wouldnt be off roading with it.
It'll do school trips twice a day and trips to town.

Just had a look at the Marco and I dont like it.

The marco sky is awful,
very very heavy

Nbg · 23/09/2007 15:53

Tandem pushchairs in this country are crappola of the highest degree imo.

We went and looked at a Jane Twin two and that just fit into our boot but it had to go in diagonally and take the wheels off.

kitsandbits · 23/09/2007 15:54

kidscargo never had one thoguh

kitsandbits · 23/09/2007 15:55

one on ebay

Sidge · 23/09/2007 15:55

Yes, they're pneumatic. Need pumping up once in a blue moon (think I've done mine 3 times in a year!!)

I used mine for school runs, round the shops, theme parks, walks in a country park on gravel tracks, etc. It did the job.

I've got pictures of mine if you want to see them? (It's currently listed on Ebay)

kitsandbits · 23/09/2007 15:56

bebekins - in brown is nice

Nbg · 23/09/2007 15:56

oh god deffo not the cosatto either. The seats look crap.

Sorry.

I am being a fussy bugger but when we buy a pushchair, thats it. None of this swapping and buying about 5 every other month malarky

OP posts:
Nbg · 23/09/2007 16:02

Yep, looked at the Joovy but think ds is too young for it yet.

He still needs to nap. Just turned 1.

I have had all sorts of double buggies and have to give my vote solidly with the marco sky, perfect for city living

kitsandbits · 23/09/2007 16:04

Sorry, but if you dont want any of the 'crap' ones

then you need to find the cash for a jane or icandy pear (just quoting from your OP~)

and possibly get a new car!
