oh good thankyou very much
I have seen one being played and had a teeny tiny shot on one game but was being hassled by todder and baby so wasn't taking it in. I thought it looked fantastic and had alot of fun considering I played for all of 2 and a half mins. I have a 7 yr old and a 2 and a half year old. do you think it will get enough use in the years to come. I also love videogames and will use it tons too

yes! But she can get bored easily and mess around

mindalina · 17/09/2007 21:29

Oh we have one and I LUUURVE it, it's the only computer game thing that's ever held my attention for more than a day. I think everyone should have one, they're wonderful.

Scanner · 17/09/2007 21:29

I won one in a MN competition and my children thank me regularly. DS aged 4 is the most hooked and would play it all day if I let him, which I don't. However you do feel that less guilt due to the amount of movement then I would think with a regular games console.

Sports is good fun and we often have family bowling matches, beware though I did once clump ds on the head when playing tennis! We also have Raymans Raving Rabbids, which we have all enjoyed playing and a few others. One of the good things about it, is that we often all join in including me and dh.

Lets put it this way, if it broke would I replace it - oh yes.

Hulababy · 17/09/2007 21:30

We are thinking of getting one for DD this Christmas too. 5yo DD has used them at her friend's houses and loves it. Her favourite is bowling.

I am currently going through her stuff that she no longer uses, and outgrown clothes, etc. to build up some csah in my PayPal to fund some of it so her present doesn't cost us too much!

DD is very keen to get the HSM game coming out next month, plus the Sports pack.

Just need to look out for deals now.

Trinityrhino · 17/09/2007 21:30

thanks scanner
how cool to win it from mn

The Wii Fitness that is due to com out sometime looks great. There is a demo for it on You Tube.

weebleswobble · 17/09/2007 21:32

Dcs saved to buy one and it's arriving tomorrow. They were devestated delivery was attempted while I was at work, so they have to wait until I pick it up from the Post Office tomorrow.

I'm not sure who's more excited - me or them.

katz · 17/09/2007 21:34

love love love love it!

have just bought boogie for it and thats great fun, we have a few games and DH has some birthday moeny to buy some more, just hoping he goes for warrios smooth moves!

dooneygirl · 17/09/2007 21:35

We got one for FIL and we loved it so much we got it for ourselves. We all have lots of fun. The only bad thing is that we are regularly humiliated by our 4 year old DS in bowling. They have a dance dance revolution game coming next month, which I think will be great exercise for me. I do like the fact that it gets you up and moving.

rantinghousewife · 17/09/2007 21:35

Marvellous, extremely useful if you have (competitive) friends round for beers aswell!

francagoestohollywood · 17/09/2007 21:43

we don't have one, dc are too young and I'm usually not very keen, but I've just read the review of "trauma center" and I think I might be changing my mind...

pyjamaqueen · 17/09/2007 21:48

My whole family love it - but I'm not that interested myself.

brimfull · 17/09/2007 21:51

do you think there will be shortage of them again this xmas?

Am wondering whether to buy it soon, although have no money atm

WideWebWitch · 17/09/2007 21:52

They're great, v family friendly, quite active, much better that PS2 type things as more active/fun/joining in type stuff.

auntyquated · 17/09/2007 21:56

i too started a thread about this.
we decided to buy one for christmas but the big question is WHEN? they are bound to be in short supply, but if you buy now you waste a few months guarantee

katz · 17/09/2007 21:59

someone said to me today that there were some really good package deals around at the moment, so worth having a look and seeing what savings can be made. the must hav item for the wii this christmas i think will be the wii fitness and sensor board

Trinityrhino · 17/09/2007 22:00

dh says to buy now
he has been trawling the web since he said earlier that we will get one and it looks to be THE thing this christmas that everyone os going to want and that manufacturers are going to restrict slightly to keep the hype going after christmas too (this is apparently what they do I'm told)
