dh bought a new duvet recently - but it's very lightweight and I know it won;t be warm enough for me in winter. so i thought it was an ideal excuse to buy a nice blanket or throw. off I pop, aspirationally, to the White Co website and what do I find? who buys this stuff

Its looks like an itchy Pontins blanket.

I imagine it is lovely ... but not £600 lovely!

It is cashmere though.

hatwoman · 16/09/2007 17:24

kitsandbits · 16/09/2007 17:26

Definatly the first one - looks classier

I like the dusky blue.

MrsSpoon · 16/09/2007 17:26

Definatly blue - it will look lovely with the brown

Mercy · 16/09/2007 17:31

Tbh I'd go for a woollen blanket rahter than one made from man-made fibres. Have you tried John Lewis

for example, this one

hoxtonchick · 16/09/2007 17:33

ha ha ha at the blanket being natural on one side & ivory on the other. as if.....

AllieBongo · 16/09/2007 17:33

the words "it's just a fucking blanket" spring to mind. what a waste of money

Tamum · 16/09/2007 17:42

I love the "Tell a friend" button underneath it. Hey, have you seen? The White Company have blankets in and they are only 600 quid!!

hoxtonchick · 16/09/2007 17:46

you mean you're not buying it for me tamum .

Tamum · 16/09/2007 17:47

You'll need about 25 for your new house hoxty, so it's the least I can do

Mercy · 16/09/2007 17:59

how about The Wool Company?

hatwoman · 16/09/2007 18:14

[hi-jacking my own thread. hoxton and Tamum - are you going to the meet up at Christmas?]

OP posts:
hoxtonchick · 16/09/2007 18:19

hello hat, no, not going. can't face all the crowds........ are you?

tamum, haven't sold the house yet (i am the world's most impatient person....).

hatwoman · 16/09/2007 18:20

again, bit off topic, but what do you make of this compared to this

OP posts:
hatwoman · 16/09/2007 18:21

I haven't put my name down...but it was fun 2 years ago - i might be tempted

OP posts:
Tamum · 16/09/2007 18:24

[I'm not I'm afraid- combination of shyness at meeting that many people and it being an awful long way. Would have liked to meet you though!]

Tamum · 16/09/2007 18:25

Nice, that lotus stuff!

Hoxty, don't despair, it will sell

NotQuiteCockney · 16/09/2007 18:26

We should do a small, shy people meet-up or something?

I'm not small or shy, but I'd be happy to go along and be large and outgoing!

NotQuiteCockney · 16/09/2007 18:26

(I clicked on here because I was wondering what a 'farking' blanket was ... what made a blanket appropriate for farking ...)
