Can you help me find some pretty curtains with butterfly motifs, please ?

Thoughts have turned to DD's bedroom. We're buying her first 'big girl' bed next month along with some new cupboards and stuff (she's just turned 2), and I'd like the 'theme' in there to be butterflies.

Sooo, can you help me find some pretty curtains for her windows ? Ideally they'd be white and tab-top with coloured (hopefully embroidered) butterflies on them.

Cheers !!

Oh dear no! There were some with sewn on butterfly things.

They're called "Kryp slanda" and have voil butterflies on them. P275 of the new catalogue! £14 per pair.

Here!

The matching duvet really looks like dragon flies though.

They are lovely ! Great that they have matching duvet too.

Hmmm, nit sure about the duvet set, but the curtains are cute. Just a pain that they don't deliver really.

I can always be persuaded to visit Ikea on missions for other people and then post them on...

I didn't lie the duvet much either. The curtains were so pretty and delicate.

Oooh, might take you up on that Soupy . I'll have another good hunt for something a bit more traditional first, I think.

It doesn't take much to persuade me to go to Ikea!! These would look nice as a bed canopy actually.

NomDePlume · 06/09/2004 18:48

I thought the same thing, but DD's room is a bit tiddly and a bed canopy might make it seem even smaller. Plus the fact that she's more likely to try and pull the applique bits off when they are over her bed, little blighter

NDP - I'm sure someone would be quite happy to go shopping with you

I need some inspiration for ds's room - I'm sure a shopping trip would do it

i'm going to Ikea at the end of the month. if u want me to pick u up a pair i will. might get some for my dd's as well.

NomDePlume · 07/09/2004 10:45

LOL, Ailsa !!! Is that your subtle (arf, arf) way of saying that you'd be up for a trip to Wednesbury ?!

Thanks for all the kind offers of 'mercy missions' to Ikea, guys. Very sweet
