Isimply cannot walk in shoes that aren't properly attached to my feet

flip flops, mules, slip on sandally things
all a no no

so the sandals I have at the mo which are flat, black and have lots of thin elastiocs across the whole foot AND one round the heel are dying. had them a year and a half and the sole is breaking up.
help me find some new ones

oh and unlike others I am not averse to pink and other colours but I HATE ORANGE

TIA

Hi TrinityRhino... I'm with you on proper sandals. I've had some good ones from Clarks in recent years. not sure what they've got in this year or what you want to spend. They do tend to be a bit pricey but last.

brimfull · 30/06/2007 12:41

I am definatly the wrong person to ask on the sandal front.I seem to gravitate to granny ones and don't trust my judgement anymore.
Will watch thread with interst

I was looking longingly at these the other day, but they only have certain sizes left.

cornsilk · 30/06/2007 12:46

You can get birkenstocks from QVC - have some good offers. Postage expensive tho.'

ArtichokeTagine · 30/06/2007 12:47

Would these attach to your foot enough?

Or these?www.birkenstock.co.uk/index.php?m=catalogue&a=vw_prod&wprid=169

TrinityRhino · 30/06/2007 12:47

OP posts:
TrinityRhino · 30/06/2007 12:48

they would attach enough but sorry, they are grooooosss

ArtichokeTagine · 30/06/2007 12:54

No need to apologies - they are not my shoes - i was just responding to your question "where are birkies?"...

IMO some birkenstoks look great. But only the single strapped ones with bright colours. Some of the others are a bit like a Liberal Democrat local counsellor's fashion choice. I don't mind the thonged ones in the second link though - could be OK in a bright colour.

peachygirl · 30/06/2007 12:56

They are not that bad.. believe me I have spent lots of time perusing sandals as I wear childrens sizes and childrens sandals seem to be designed to last for 6 weeks at the most. I tend to find european ones are the best and most durable so buy them on holiday. I know that if they cost a bit more they will last

TrinityRhino · 30/06/2007 13:11

what do you lot think of these?
