i dont think the ivy comes with it, or if it does you can remove it.

brimfull · 14/05/2007 19:41

LoveMyGirls · 14/05/2007 19:43

Oooohhhhhhhhh oops having a "blonde" moment (not intending to offend blondes just a phrase)

I guess it would do the job but still if anyone can find anything or recommend anything nicer i'd appreciate it. TIA

themaskedposter · 14/05/2007 19:46

LOL at lovemygirls 'moment'

that has cheered me up

LoveMyGirls · 14/05/2007 19:49

They are very nice, I saw a couple that are perfect except the price tag, forgot to say we are skint.

We're moving and dd1 (7) is going to end up with a box room she is not too happy about it so we need to try and make it feel as spacious as possible.

isaidno · 14/05/2007 19:54

this is similar

stargate · 14/05/2007 21:30

wheres the window in the room? only ask because i went out and ordered something very similar without even thinking that it would completely cover the window (another blonde moment, me thinks!)

twinsetandpearls · 14/05/2007 21:33

This bedding is quite nice but not sure if I need to take the man as well

LoveMyGirls · 15/05/2007 07:43

You could get my DH to make one for you. He makes fantastic children's beds - DD has a cabin bed and the boys have a right angle bunk. Solid wood and very well made.

However unless you live round here it wouldn't help .

I am constantly at how much it costs to buy kids beds.

LoveMyGirls · 15/05/2007 12:16

Omg it's worse than i thought, it's a tiny tiny box room, there isn't even room for a storage bed OrmIrian where do you live? It looks like we will have to build a bed in there, it's tiny and it's got 2 big wooden steps that go over the stairs iyswim. Dd1 is going to be devasted, it would be fine for dd2 if we only had to put 1 cot in there but as i childmind i need 3 cots and you wouldnt get 2 let alone 3 in there

What am i going to dooooooooo??

Somerset lovemybed. Any good? If not, it's quite easy to make one (apparently ). And it's really the best option in a tiny room. DD's is tiny too and a cabin bed means you can make storage space/den underneath.

Lauriefairycake · 15/05/2007 12:18

Cheapy childs beds from Littlewoods is only 5 foot 8 I think - we have one and it fits in the weeniest box room - only cost me 80 quid too and has sliding storage underneath.

seb1 · 15/05/2007 12:20

We looked at a house like that and they built the bed over the stair bit with storage underneath.

seb1 · 15/05/2007 12:23

Maybe you could get a pull out desk under the bed for when she is older.

LoveMyGirls · 15/05/2007 12:28

gutted, we live near coventry.

The thing that is also winding me up is the fact the HA are not keeping us informed and there is never anyone on the other end of the phone, everytime i phone i get an answerphone messgae that says ill be out of the office until tomorrow/ next week etc and its starting to really grate! Then i just phoned dp only to get told well you have told dd1 it will all be ok so its your fault she's going to be so upset etc - ta thanks for that!

LoveMyGirls · 15/05/2007 12:29

Yeh we could do with a wardobe, desk under the bed as she is almost 8.

OP posts:
LoveMyGirls · 15/05/2007 12:33

The other rooms are not very big either i'm very much doubting we are going to fit our wardobe and king size bed in our room

God this is going to cost us a fortune, we've got to carpet it all, change our cooker (the previous occupants had a built in oven and hob) plus carpets throughout and build a bed for dd1

We can't give dd2 the smaller room because then we would have to fit a big bed, 2 travel cots, wardrobe, chest of draws all toys etc - god what a nightmare

OP posts:
LoveMyGirls · 15/05/2007 12:33

Ooops carpets twice

OP posts:
LoveMyGirls · 15/05/2007 19:01

Dp has no no'd my idea says there is no way we are going to be able to build dd1 a bed, apparently we don't have the skills and no way we can afford to pay anyone to do it for us.

They do shorty midsleepers, would one of those fit ???

Look on ebay, I got Ds's midsleeper off there for £40, Dd1's high sleeper of there for £30 and sold it on again, and got bunk beds for £30 too.
