Price's do lovely ones.

A beekeeper who sells at our farmer's market has started selling beeswax candles and they smell gorgeous.

Jo Malone are cheaper on ebay sometimes I don't think yuo can beat them for lasting smell and you don't need to burn them for too long either.Have tried cheaper ones from bombay duck etc and not as good

TK Maax always have a nice selection at a reasonable price. There are some nice ones in silver jars (Parks) that are particularly nice

expatinscotland · 08/05/2007 23:11

Diptyque.

But they are about the same price as Malone, non?

Kenneth Turner. The original one is particularly nice. Smells a bit like lebekuchen. Not quite as pricey as JM/Diptyque.

willywonka · 08/05/2007 23:31

Have come across Yankee candles at the garden centre and have to agree that they're not all that subtle

MUJI candles are v good value and smell gorgeous!!

The Pier used to be good for candles, they smelled quite natural not synthetic/chemical. Does The Pier still exist? I haven't been to a shopping centre for ages, possibly years.

MuffinMclay · 09/05/2007 14:30

M&S ones surprisingly good. White Company better still (although some are a bit too scented), and they're still cheaper than Jo Malone (esp. in sales or with the 10/15% discount that they've always got going).

twinsetandpearls · 09/05/2007 14:33

i buy mine from tk maxx usually salt city candles.
