Crocs for kids -- do you like them?

That's it really. DD wants a pair and on the one hand I think they look really easy to care for. But on the other they are ugly and look really uncomfortable. Anyone have a pair for their kids? Do they like them? Are their feet covered with blisters?

Ah, just seen sizings.

DD is a size 10.5-11, so will need either the 9/10 or the 11/12. Think I will try the larger size first.

are they ok for boys. DS loves his but I have never seen another boy in them. I bought them for the beach (very hard to swim in as they make your feet float).

trice · 29/04/2007 18:56

sorry missing ?

Eleusis · 29/04/2007 19:01

My ds wears his all the time. There were tons of surfer-type boys wearing them in Cornwall

Jibbitz

They go in the holes on top of the crocs.

Eleusis · 29/04/2007 19:09

Oh she will love jibbitsz... now how will I keep them out of almost 3 year old Ds's mouth?

OP posts:
Nbg · 29/04/2007 19:11

My dd is 3 and have no problems of eating

Tbh they are really hard to get in and out so you'll be very unlucky if he does get his hands on them.

Also my dd got the size 6/7 and I would say no more than 4 on each shoe.

Eleusis · 29/04/2007 19:13

oops... almost 2 year old DS. The crocs are for 4 year old DD.

There not plastic, there Polyurethane Resin

actually!

The cheap rip off versions are plastic.

Porcupine · 29/04/2007 19:22

they are plastic
ill tell you you lot will be MORTIFIED abtou them in say... a year

alipiggie · 29/04/2007 19:24

So Porcupine you won't be wearing them in Bermuda then

Nbg · 29/04/2007 19:25

THEY'RE NOT PLASTIC FFS!

I thought part of being a parent was to be mortified.
Have bigger fish to fry than worrying about putting dd in a pair of crocs lol

pointydog · 29/04/2007 19:25

no

Eleusis · 29/04/2007 20:42

ERM... think polyurethane is a plastic. But, hey, that won't drive me away from or to them. However, the fact that cod is passionate about her disapproval could drive me to buy a pair.

Actually there's a bit more to this story. DD (now 4) has been peeing in her pants left and right. She is potty trained. She just can't be arsed to stop playing and go to the loo until it is too late. So, when she saw them today and asked for a pair, I pondered it, and said she could have them if sh goes the whole week without peeing in her pants.

So, if this works, I'm thinking I'd rather have a kid who wears plastic on her feet then one with stinky pee all over her arse.
