I did a thread on this recently:

AitchTwoOh · 12/04/2007 17:51

oh tutter. get one. they are Just So Right for a wee baby to sleep in. and please ignore my mis-spelling of the word vigorously on the other thread.
ask gess, she had one too and loved it.

Just Ok for me.
Took my DD quite some time to get used to it and to be honest what finally really helped her settle was mastering the dummy.

baffledbybaby · 12/04/2007 18:10

Just one of the many reasons why DD baffled me as most babies do seem to love them judging from MN.

Tutter · 12/04/2007 19:39

thanks all

bbb - is that meant to be in the style of randy jackson "it was just ok for me daaawwwwg"?

So no-one else got one free for an August baby...??? Sigh, off to ebay I go. Saw one once and my mind was instantly made up.

AitchTwoOh · 12/04/2007 21:24

token, i cried when dd stopped using it. every night i slept with my hand on her wee feet and just gave her a wee bounce when she stirred. it was lovely.

tokentotty · 12/04/2007 21:29

Oh Aitch don't....I want one, I want one, I want one !!! Not even going to buy a cot as am sooooo convinced that these are the way forward.

AitchTwoOh · 12/04/2007 21:33

i missed her soooo much when she went into her cot. which was about a foot away from my bed, but i couldn't touch her in it...

i'm just reporting the facts, ma'am...

tokentotty · 12/04/2007 21:40

Oh no....I can't take it. You're plucking at my over-sensitive, homonal, pregnant heartstrings. Am just going to have to go to the main supplier and pay full price at this rate!

Hahahah don't even say that near my ante-natal thread as have already told them all about my dream where the baby came early and I had nothing. I wiped it's face with the dishcloth and put it to bed in a drawer. Still don't see anything wrong with that plan to be honest ! Think there's something strange in my head that doesn't compel me to buy new stuff and anything and everything on various lists. Just want my hammock and that's it. Back on ebay for me tomorrow....

the hammock was the only new thing i bought, everything else was hand-me-downs. like you, i saw it and it just made Perfect Sense. it's a wonderful thing. you know they re-sell on ebay for only about a £50 loss?

theprecious · 13/04/2007 14:30

just reading the thread, I was just going to get an Amby, no cot at all for pfb. Is that OK?

tokentotty · 13/04/2007 15:34

that's what I'm doing Precious ! Although I'm just bearing in mind the fact that it'll all depend on how big my child is. It won't last up to twelve months probably if your baby is born weighing in at over 10lbs or something.
