Hello MrsB, I looked at them last night when I saw them mentioned. They're more money still though and didn't notice one on ebay, although will have another look....

gess · 13/04/2007 15:40

I don't do delivery- but I've got one going for local pickup in Devon. Along with sheets and the bouncy thing. Best thing I ever bought- wish I'd found it before ds3. DS1 andds2 missed out. I tried to force my cousin to borrow it but she wasn't keen, and having looked at it for a year I think its time to let go.....

'one' being an amby in raw cotton.

ProfYaffle · 13/04/2007 15:42

My lo sleeps really well in hers, after a somewhat ambivalent start I'm loving it now. The major drawback for me is it kills my back getting her in and out. I'm beginning to develop a rather inelegant squat technique which is helping though.

We've got a cotbed for her to use when she gets bigger though.

Oh, which do you have the moffi or the natures nest ?

tokentotty · 13/04/2007 15:49

Sorry Gess, that sounds exactly what I want. How much are you looking for ?

ProfYaffle · 13/04/2007 16:18

I have the nature's nest in raw cotton. It's a lovely looking thing but I probably would have gone for the Moffi if I'd seen that first.

Are you in Devon tokentotty because I'm not posting/couriering it (too stressful!)? Sorry that sounds quite blunt- am rushing because of kids. I need to wash the mattress and cover and check how it comes out- if it comes out pristine then I'll sell it for a little less (say 15 quid less roughly) than the usual low ebay price. (Usually I put this stuff on my ebay store as buyitnow- chepaer than usual ebay reflecting hassle for buyer of local pickup etc) If the mattress isn't very good then it will be a lot less- probably at £55 less than average ebay price as new matresses are £40 I think, but will check all that out.

Sorry that's not a very clear answer is it- basically it will be a little cheaper than you could usually get it on ebay- and if it is sold with matress then the matress will be pristine.

For local pickup I always prefer cash.

No worries Gess, am in London so no good to you. Have no doubt at all someone near you will happil take it off your hands.

gess · 13/04/2007 16:49

I used to be in London....

tokentotty · 13/04/2007 17:03

Was that a bit of a sigh I could here as you said that Gess....??

AitchTwoOh · 13/04/2007 22:48

you know, the moffi is gorgeous, deffo. BUT, I think it's too high up. what i liked best about the amby was that i could lie in my bed and have my hand in the amby. not to mention the fact that when dd got more active i liked the fact that if she ever fell out she'd not have far to travel. (she didn't, by the way).

if i was going to order the moffi i'd want to know how high it is off the ground compared to the ambi (it may look worse than it actually is, we don't know if there's a baby in the photo). the springs look much the same to my untutored eye, so if it's the same height then it will presumably work the same way. i personally had no difficulties getting the baby in an out of the amby once i realised that you need to lead with your elbow a bit.

however, by the same token anyone with a bad back might like the moffi better.

gess · 13/04/2007 23:38

Good grief no tokentotty, I am not a London girl!

gess · 13/04/2007 23:39

aitch you've just brought back memories of ds3 practically reaching the ground when he got heavy, although I did add another spring. I could lie in bed and kind of jiggle the amby with my foot.

AitchTwoOh · 13/04/2007 23:41

gess, don't. i will cry. i blardy loved when DD slept in her amby.

tokentotty · 14/04/2007 11:14

Back to ebay I go - my poor unborn child cannot survive without an Amby. Fact.

katierocket · 16/04/2007 10:17

I have an amby to sell if anyone's interested
