GLTC is there a 10% discount for mumsnetters?

Does anyone know what the deal is? GLTC are listed in the companies who offer a 10% discount to mumsnet users but when you look at their blurb on mumsnet shopping info, all that comes is an offer for free delivery if you spend over £75. Did email GLTC but no reply...Can anyone help? Thanks

Hi

It is very rare for us to offer any sort of discount, and my CEO is being particularly mean at the moment, as a result we?re not offering a discount to anyone, the current deal with Mumsnet is Free standard UK P&P for orders over £70.

But we will be changing this in the next week or so. (Still won't be a discount... sorry)

We are still having a problem with the link from Mumsnet (Top right on the mumsnet home page) some people get a 404 error, page not found, our techie is trying to work it out and fix it. It this happens to you, please either use the code GMUM06 at the checkout or call out call centre and quite the same code, sorry again!

Will

GLTC did used to offer 10% to Mn's as I used it on several occasions. The code was MUM10, a long time ago, when GLTC were a lot better than they are now.

Pannacotta · 20/02/2007 23:21

Will, does this mean the free delivery will no longer be on offer? That would be mean!!

We always have an offer for mumsnetters it is usually free P&P and has been for the last year at least, (except for a short period in the run-up to Christmas when we did a 10% off)

At the moment the current system only allows free postage or a discount or a free product, we can't do more than one thing at a time (I know it's a bit rubbish but we are getting a new system soon )

The reason we are not doing discounts so much anymore is that we do not build a discount into our margin, we would rather offer good value all the time. If and when we do offer a discount it will be a genuine discount and not a "BIG FURNITURE STORE SALE NOW ON!!!!!!" type of discount.

I will be updating the offer next week, if it?s not free P&P it will be worth the same if not more.

In the meantime ? we also have a secret offer and as it?s you I?ll let you in on it. Go to \link{http://www.gltc.co.uk/secret\gltc.co.uk/secret

alibubbles Please can you contact me (will [at] gltc.co.uk ) and let me know why you think we are not as good as before as we always want to know.

Cheers

Will

icod I think the free postage deal is still going if you go to gltc via the mumsnet link, it opened up a page offering free postage when i last tried it. Not too generous with the old offers are they?!?

Just tried it and it worked, go via the shopping page, click on GLTC and it takes you to their site, with offer of free postage, but only with orders over £70 so not v generous really...

GLTC · 26/02/2007 14:27

Incodnito · 27/02/2007 00:35

10% discount for me please

JustineMumsnet · 27/02/2007 08:03

Bump - anyone else got a view about free postage if you spend £50 and a gift or a 10%discount?

hana · 27/02/2007 08:07

I generally go for the free postage, but prob wouldn't spend the qualifying 10%, think their postage is a bit steep as well

Pannacotta · 27/02/2007 12:50

Agree postage is a bit steep but suppose it depends on if you are buying funiture or just small things. I still prefer 10% discount but woudl be happy with either offer.
