we currently have a monster pushchair for ds which is very lovely but we're trying for number 2 so i am thinking of selling it.
ds will be coming up for 3 when baby is born (if i get pg this month lol) so we won't need a double. but i will need something that is easy-ish to steer with one hand and not too heavy.

was looking at the loola and jane carrera but they're really just super-strollers aren't they? rather than a nice comfy pushchair.
the one we have at the moment has fab suspension and air wheels but it's just too big and heavy if i have a toddler to chase as well.

I do like the look of some of the other bebe confort pushchairs but I'm just not sure what to do.
also had a look at the urban detour 3 wheelers and quinny speedi.
but need some expert advice lol. I definitely can't afford bugaboo prices and am not THAT keen on m&p (though maybe persuaded). I just want something really comfy for the baby, but easy to use

3 wheelers with a front swivel are the easiest to push one handed and many have carrycot bits.

misdee · 29/01/2007 21:58

loola is heavy and not possible to steer one handed.

urban detours are easy to steer but heavey to lift into car etc.

can you afford a 2nd hand old style mountain buggy? and add an older style carrycot with new mattess? there was one listed last week for £160.

I've just bought a silver cross 3D and although baby hasn't arrived yet I am really very keen on it. It has a matress insert so baby can face you which is very thick and nicely padded. The pushchair also recline fully flat (although with baby facing forwaed) It is a similar size and weigt to the loola. I went for it as I didn't want a M and P but lots of people on here love them.
My only complaint at the moment would be the car seat is large - so much that it didn't fit our car!

hairymclary · 29/01/2007 22:01

yes, hadn't thought of mountain buggy, will have a look on ebay at those as well (my watch list is growing longer and longer lol)

Micralites are an absolute breeze one-handed

hairymclary · 29/01/2007 22:01

what is your budget?

hairymclary · 29/01/2007 22:07

well, it depends partly on how much I sell the current one for, and how much more I can get dh to part with lol
I guess around £150 max if it was the perfect pushchair, but hopefully less
